I opened this video expecting a small band performance. This band sounds HUGE and has talented musicians in all sections. Also, the drill and guard are fantastic.
I'd like to claim the "I'm still here" award... Still remember this to this day... Kind of ironic because the moto was "Be Remembered". Miss the good ole' days
My sister graduated from this school! Although she wasn't part of the marching band, she mentioned how much effort the band members would put and simply enjoyed what they do, hearing them play inspired me to pursue marching band and although I unfortunately couldn't enroll to Stephen F. HS, and the highschool I'm currently attending is facing prejudice due to how bad the program has been for years(we have a new band director trying his best to make a better band program), I'm hoping I could put as much effort as these guys do and make a change, even if it's a small one . I have so much gratitude for this band and wish to see them perform in person one more time
I still get chills behind my back watching this. It's phenomenal what we could achieve. This was why I joined marching band. Thanks for everything ^-^ #vibe
My son's high school band competed with this band at the Lone Star Preview that year and won. But I have to say, this show was so much fun to watch! It was impeccable from start to finish. From the music to the marching and choreography, it was easily one of my favorite shows that I've seen (and with 2 kids who have been in band over the past 7 years, I've seen a lot!).
When we had gotten second at that show, our band director smiled and said we were bound to lose the competition eventually (we had won it 2 or 3 years in a row at the time). His words only made us work that much harder but we had so much respect for the band that got first!
I would love to see/hear some recordings of the concert program. There's obviously great teaching going on at the HS level, but remember to throw some love to the incredible feeder schools of bands who play this well!!
this show is my favorite show of all time, i’m a current high school student and was wondering if anybody had any of the shows music? if you do please let me know 🙏🏽
This band has been constantly good for 20 years. Probably more. I just don't know why they are wearing blue uniforms though? For the show? Red/black/silver normally.
Unfortunately, a lot of the competitions go by school size instead of band size...in my daughters school, they had over 1400 students in their school but only about 75 in the marching band and they were always put in with 6A bands of 200+...I never thought that was fair 😠
Taking a fun trip down memory lane, this show still holds 8 years later. Thankful for these experiences. Hope you’re doin well Mr. Chreste!
3 years later and this still gives me chills. Best show I’ve ever been a part of.
my high school played this for our marching show this year because our original show got canceled because of covid

what a big sound for such a small group. playing together and in tune will get you places!
Jayden Bernal 👌
who else played in this band and just watches it from time to time?
Oh how I still miss this show to this day. Not only did band have such a big impact on my life, so did Bob Chreste. Miss you Mr. Chreste
Hey, im in love with this show and I would love to try to learn it myself (im a snare player) do you know any of their names or contact info?

I love how the auxiliary didn't use equipment. Just utilized their costumes. Creative!
The MOST flawless show I’ve EVER seen!!!

🏆🎺🔥They sound like a world class drum&bugle corps🔥🎺🏆
Keep doing this level of excellence ladies and gentlemen.
Glad this show went to state! They did fantastic!
Dan Pasel damn. A 6a band that looks like a big 4a going to state with all these other giant 6a bands like flower mound and the woodlands
Indeed, and received a overall very good placement in state!
Wow, amazing guys! For a smaller band, you guys really pack a punch! Lolks stunning aswell, awesome performance👏🖒

The general effect for this band is OUTSTANDING!!!
Best show I’ve ever gotten to see in person.
Band and Angels were AMAZING!!
Oh dang they're small. I thought they would be a whole lot bigger cuz I've heard so much about them before
Starts at 1:25 for anyone who wants to bypass them walking to their sets
I remember watching this at finals and being in complete shock, so amazing especially for a band smaller than us!
I can still remember this show so well! Grats from Dawson
Amazing show! I enjoyed every part of the show.

Lol, everyone is talking about how "small" this group is but they would be considered large where I teach.
their program last year was amazing also
marchingtubaboy because its very small compared to other bands in 6A but yeah compared to other band they are "big"
Seth Riley they're small for even 5a. They look like a decent sized 4a
Dan_The_Tuba_Man everything is bigger in Texas
This might be my favorite high school marching show next to dobie band 2017
bob creste is literally a god
Man that clarinet solo!
this show is my favorite show of all time, i’m a current high school student and was wondering if anybody had any of the shows music? if you do please let me know 🙏🏽
what band is this? phenomenal sound for the small number of students
Fort Bend ISD Stephen F Austin Highschool
Hell yeah that’s my School!
This band has been constantly good for 20 years. Probably more. I just don't know why they are wearing blue uniforms though? For the show? Red/black/silver normally.
It was for the show design. Red and Black was just not fit for summer.
It's a highschool also the uniforms well follow the color way of their schools color it's the color guard that follows the shows theme
One of the musical selections for this show was "Rhapsody In Blue." Thus, it would make sense for them to wear blue instead of red :)
Fantastic show! kinda funny seeing the comments about it being a "small band" with 93 instrumentalists and 24 guard. 🤔
Lets say we can consider it a small TEXAS band
I see the GNT in this video. They didn’t scare me then, they do now
Bravo 👏 really outstanding performance!
NO WAY they are playing Rhapsody in Blue 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
Cy fair has the 4th biggest school district in all of Texas. No wander their stadium Is so huge
I go to this school and I’m a freshmen in that band! And it’s actually bigger. By 2019 we will have 200 kids
S.K .2.K That is fantastic to hear as an alumni
I .guess you graduated in 2020 then
Very cool! Is the the Stephen F. Austin High School in Houston Texas?
LucyDeAntigua Tarot sugar land
its really unfortunate for SFA to be in 6A. when i was there even at 200+ members we were still a "small" band compared to all the other 6A bands
Well it obviously didn't affect them as they placed 1st at area ahead of bands with 400+ members.
Unfortunately, a lot of the competitions go by school size instead of band size...in my daughters school, they had over 1400 students in their school but only about 75 in the marching band and they were always put in with 6A bands of 200+...I never thought that was fair 😠
They guard didn't use any equipment awesome
Ezequiel Villarreal we didn’t have a guard it was the angels dance team
what is the school
Austin Panthers #1
it’s sounds really awesome i just can’t believe that y’all think this is a small group
i bet it’s small compared to other groups there but gosh that’s way bigger than mine
Was this at Battle at the Berry?
Kathleen Duggan this was the UIL area E marching contest
my father in law was there
I don’t get the mental strategy behind these formations
Nice
I miss Mr. Chreste
Fun Fact: This show made 1st place! :D
Sad Fact: I was in Cy Ranch and I didn't make finals :(
Ryan_Catz02 they beat Clements! That is what surprised me. And Clements H.S marching band is three times the size of this band
@@kathleenduggan9955 Size and score don't always have a correlation.
