I've tried using different instrument cables, different line inputs on my interface, but am not getting any signal from the unbalanced IR out - however, when I use a mic cable on IR out to the instrument input 1 on my interface, I can hear signal. Any idea on how best to troubleshoot this or where I'm going wrong?
Thanks for the video, very informative :) I have a question about tube amps in general and as such it also applies to the Power Station. This is a question that I've literally seen 5-6 different answers to in the last 20 years but there wasn't a definitive one. What is the recommended use of the Standby switch on tube amps that have it? It's clear that when you're powering up the amp after a long period it should be left on Standby to let the tubes warm up before getting high voltage. The confusion starts when it's time to take a break. Should the Standby switch be used for that? I've heard that prolonged periods that an amp is left on Standby can cause cathode posioning and be actually harmful for your amp. So is it better to leave the amp on and instead of going to Standby just leaving the volume on zero? Also, if Standby can be used for breaks, how long is it safe for before cathode poisoning starts occuring? Also, is this something that's generally applicable to all tube amps or are there different circuits/tube types that work differently? On some smaller amps with EL84/6V6 tubes in the PA I regularly don't see a Standby switch at all. I'm sure many people (including me) would consider it very, very helpful if Mr. Fryette cleared this up once and for all. Thanks in advance, Richard
Hey, thx for the video, I have one question left. Beside the Sample Rate of 48 kHz, what is the specified bit depth 24 Bit or 16 bit and what is the maximum lengh of the IR, maybe 20ms? I can't find informations about this topic in the user manual.

Is it normal behavior of the PL-IR when you listen to the IR XLR Output and turn the IR LEVEL Knob all the way to the left (mute) that you can hear a little bit of the unfiltered direct sound of the amp, that kind of hissing sound that you get without an IR? thanks for the video. Is it possible to blend the analog channel with the IR channel by patching the outputs with Line Input or Loop ?

A little bleed is normal. Just keep the IR Level control up around noon to 3 o'clock.
Is it possible to download the Fryette cabinets IR separately somewhere?

Possibly dumb question, but how do you control the headphone amp volume?
The headphone out plays the IRs, so adjusting the IR level control sets the headphone level.
