Gathering those mussels reminded me of when I was a kid ..grew up next to a harbour.. started sailing when I was 8 ... We used to light a fire in the rocks, throw a piece of coro over the fire..then mussels off the rocks onto the coro...when they popped open they were done...delicimo.

I did a similar trip up river in that locality dragging a 12' clinker with a Seagull on the back. Stood on what I thought was a flounder and next thing PAIN PLUS, a stingray of course. Still got the scar. 55 years ago now. Got to watch your step. Love the show. Thanks

I rode my mountain bike out to the river you camped on in Jan 2022. By the time I got there I was sweating like a pig, and stinging for a swim. About to dive in, when I realised the water was so clear I could see hundreds of puffer fish staring at me! 😂😂 They freaked me out, stayed sweaty instead 🙄 I'd love to go back and explore the nature reserve south of there. Also you boat camped off my fav beach in all of Oz 👌
