  • BOOSTER FALLING FROM THE SKY: Booster of Long March-2C that launched China’s historic X-Ray telescope satellite to capture gamma ray bursts Saturday June 22, 2024, comes crashing down on a Chinese village downrange from Xichang launch site, triggering shockwaves and swift global criticism. Watch the heart-stopping video of booster tumbling through the sky and landing on populated area with bright deep brown hypergaulic fumes. A Chinese launch of the joint Sino-French SVOM mission to study Gamma-ray bursts early Saturday saw toxic rocket debris fall over a populated area.A video posted on Chinese social media site Sina Weibo appears to show a rocket booster falling on a populated area with people running for cover.
The booster fell to Earth near Guiding County, Qiandongnan Prefecture in Guizhou province, according to another post. An airspace closure notice for the mission established a temporary danger area containing Guiding County, Guizhou.

These areas were remote rural areas in 1960s, now these are populous areas. Need to guide rocket debris back with parachutes.

Falling rocket debris is a common issue with launches. Not just exclusively Chinese problem.

China had no choice because of geographical location. However, all these launches will be moved to Hainan soon.

@@tluangasailo3663 you know that India launch their rocket near the coast. US launch in florida which is near the coast. Russia is different because of its huge landmass and very very low population.

Except no one dumps the spent first stage, especially one that uses toxic propellants, over populated area.
Sure it went into the hillside so no one is hurt and no property seems damaged. That would've been fine if it were a Soyuz or Falcon 9. But with this rocket the N2O2 and UDMH will seep into the soil and run off into the town.

"Other" countries care more and launch over the "ocean" . Ever heard of the ocean ? This is the second or third time china has dropped rocket parts in an inhabited area . There is rumor of a coverup of this happening in china and killing over 100 people . Also consider the toxic pollution after such a crash . In other words , the chinese government doesn't care

An all white rocket launched, but the booster with red patterns fell.... . You need to be more diligent if you want to make money on YT. Chinese rocket fell in India? India would make a international issue out of it. You are just like the other channels out there. Unsubscribing.

Before everyone condeming China, let's see how many other rocket or space debris fall on to earth:
Below are just some example of recent incidents:
A Falcon 9 second stage made an uncontrolled re-entry over Washington on March 25, producing a widely seen "light show".[22] SpaceX retrieved a piece of debris, a composite-overwrapped pressure vessel, that landed on a farm in Washington.[23] Another piece of debris, likely a pressure vessel as well, also survived the re-entry and washed up ashore in Oregon.[24]
In September, a high-pressure helium bottle weighing 50 kg from the aft end of the Centaur upper stage of an Atlas V rocket (international designator 2019 -094A) was discovered in south-eastern Australia near the town of Yambuk, Victoria.[25]
    2024:
On 8 March 2024, a cylindrical metal object weighing nearly 2 pounds (0.91 kg) struck a house in Naples, Florida causing damage to property.[48][49] The object was a piece of EP9 battery pallet jettisoned from ISS in 2021 and survived reentry when its orbit decayed.[50][51][52][53]
On 28 April 2024, a large fragment of space debris bearing scorch marks was found on a farm in Ituna (Saskatchewan, Canada). The piece of space debris had carbon fiber composite and honeycomb structure, weighing nearly 100 pounds (45 kg). It is speculated to be part of Axiom 3 Dragon trunk section that reentered on 26 February over that region.[54]
On 21 May 2024, a fragment of reentered space debris was found in Haywood County (North Carolina, US). Charred object was 4 × 3.5 feet in size, weighed nearly 90 pounds (41 kg) and had carbon fiber dotted with metallic embeds as construction material.[55][56] On same day about 40 miles (64 km) away another smaller piece of debris was found in Macon County, NC after it struck a homeowner's roof.[57][58] Both fragments could belong to trunk section of SpaceX Crew-7 Dragon spacecraft which reentered on same day.[59]

All of these stories are minor with not intentional damage.
While in china it has a history of dumping boosters with toxic propelent on the population.
Remember this was not the first case wr already know biggest civilian casualties due to falling rocket booster already happened in china during the lauch of intelsat 708 in 1996 where a booster directly fall into a populated villagr nearby with unknown number of casualties.
Its a sham that its still happening

    • @johnathanclayton2887
      @johnathanclayton2887 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Reentry from space is much less damaging than suborbital since the pieces mostly break up and burn up. You were referencing objects weighing a few pounds, whereas this weighs dozens of tons and is carrying tons of the most nasty chemicals known to man.

@@Zerpentsa6598 The funny thing is that so many people especially those anti China types will use every opportunity to smear the Chinese. They don't even think that this launching area is inland and quite heavily populated. If you watch carefully, you notice that the falling boosters was being filmed meaning the Chinese authority already knew in advance it would fall in that location. And these villagers were told to leave in advance b4 the boosters came crashing down. They will be compensated by the Chinese government. India, Japan, US, ESA, all their launching locations are near the coast. No problem. Russia is inland however they have massive land space and tiny population in that location. So, people need to wake up! Don't smear the Chinese. Sooner than later, all will be moved to Hainan Island.

@@johnathanclayton2887 I am aware. The new facility is almost complete and they are now testing and debugging. Saw it a fortnight ago on Chinese documentary. Everything takes time. By the way, these villagers were informed in advance that they have to evacuate their properties temporarily. Those people you saw are those villagers who are not taking the advice from the government officials to evacuate. They ran when shits happened. So it appears dramatic.
