    The Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus will be yet another watered down $1000 phone that pretends to be a true flagship phone but it isn't. The S23 Ultra has all of the bells and whistles, the better camera, better screen, better battery, more capabilities. The best alternative to the S23 Plus scam is the Google Pixel 7 Pro, which gives you everything the Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus SHOULD, but even $250 less while it's on sale for $749!

      But what you're missing is loyal Samsung people like myself with last year's model will probably get $1,000 trade in credit for the phone so really it's only costing you three or 400 bucks for a brand new phone whereas the pixel you're paying 900 bucks for a new phone that's quite a difference

      What are you basing this on? S23U will likely be an overall better phone but it's $200 more than a P7P so that much is expected but the Plus will be inferior in many ways like the S22 Plus was and is against the P6P/P7P.

    Not trying to be an asskiss but I cannot agree with you more on your views on Google’s direction and their results as well as the notorious and inevitable Samsung comparison. Your Google views have not only been spot on, theyre simply fair praise and critiques. Cool to see. I’ve owned a slew of Samsung mid and high end devices and found them really neat but the unpolished, and/or glitchy skin aspect constantly reminds me it’s a combination of systems that make them function. You simply notice a battle between the UI and the stock. I currently flip flop from an IP 13 Pro max to the P7 Pro and as much as I love the typical high end displays of Samsung and extra option of their UI, there’s something just - cleaner, snappier and more stable about the Pixel 7/7P in day to day. Just something to be said about having your own OS/device combo that makes Samsung gear feel super strong and steroided out, but it just still feels like a combination of gears to tick whereas the Pixel and that stale yet smooth Apple IOS feels like their own entity, or complete. Obvi depends on how you’re wired but for me personally a stable, polished system with less horsepower just feels more appealing. But Im old as dirt and crave steady, smart, fast and refined etc. Samsung has great stuff but i think Google and Apple have a tier of their own. Your content is killer dude txs.

    I have the S23 Plus and I don't agree on many points. I personally don't care about the display resolution. I'd keep it on FHD and even 60Hz. I'd hate the curved display (and the super glossy shiny body) on the Pixel 7 Pro and it's a little too big for me. Whereas 6.1" is too small. I snatched it with double storage (512GB for the price of 256GB) and Samsung actually provides more firmware updates right now than the Pixel 7 will get - not as if I'd keep the phone for 5 years anyway.
    There are small limitations too here, as we don't get 5G with the Pixel - which is no dealbreaker but still. The battery difference is not significant but the Pixel 7 Pro charges even slower than the S23+. The price is the only thing I may consider even though the difference is less here. However, I still get tempted from time to time if I should return the Galaxy S23+ and get a Pixel 7 Pro.

    1. You're comparing a product that's not even released yet to give real experience comparisons.
    2. Which means you're going off tech specs on paper, in which case the Samsung blows the pixel out of the water. Pixels real value comparative is cost, which is a minimal consideration unless you have minimal disposable income. Samsung S23 will whoop pixel phones in nearly every spec.

      @erikkpritchard ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Amen. The Pixel 7 Pro fp reader is inferior to the Samsung fp reader. The Pixel would have created a better user experience by using the "old school" capacitive fp reader. As it stands I rely on Google's superior face unlock (superior for being only camera-based), but when it gets dark unlocking the Pixel can become a hassle. As the single user experience that 99% of us use every time we touch our phone, unlock is critically important. Using a cheap under-screen sensor was the wrong move. Google did it purely because they believe consumers would not perceive their flagship as legitimate without it. So here we are, stuck with a marginal under-screen fp reader.

    Although I agree that the price is too high for the S+ series, a Pixel can never compare to a galaxy phone, Samsung has a better processor, GPU, 45w charge support, better material quality overall and One UI is the best user experience of any smartphone at the market. The S23 is a better value than the S23+, sure no doubt, but a galaxy phone and a pixel phone cannot be compared because they are in a completely different ball park.

    Sadly influencers and enthusiast asked for this, now look at us, I'm just hoping samsung doesn't ccontinue to listen cause we're headed for elementary animations in favor of robust software, be careful what you wish for, hopefully we can get the 1440p back, the plus will never get the flagship cameras and probably doesn't need them but the res it needs, Sammy knows the note consumer is most important, the fold is great but they have a couple of years before it's the go to. Plus needs to be 899 w1440p or 799 without. Keep both non ultra sizes 100 Dollar difference and bring the ultra down 100, that would be the perfect storm for the s line.

    Everything you’re saying on each one of these devices a spot on. I’ve had a 22 ultra and 22 standard . I actually wanted something that was shaped and size of the plus, but held off on purchasing the 22 + because of the lack luster specs and reviews on the device based on the thousand dollar mark and up. I was hoping the 23 was going to be better especially given the bad reviews in a lot of comparisons. I figured Samsung would step up. Nope. That launch was a yawner. So, since Samsung didn’t want to make a phone for someone like me, well, pixel did. So, I have a new 7 Pro coming to me. Then, I saw a side-by-side comparison, while they were doing a speed test. The Samsung plus screen isn’t even remotely as good as the pixel 7. pro. The differences are stupefying. I’m so glad I made the right decision.
