1st was actually a violin and a xylophone, and was absolutely fantastic! This was really good too, though. I also played Under the Sea with a bamboo flute and a glass xylophone with PVC resonance tubes. The glass gives a really awesome ocean-like sound. We got 4th in 2007 socal state, the same competition as shown here. Tough luck though, as my partners contact lens slipped out during our performance, and she lost her place....
cool, my cousin and a friend of hers participated in SO a while ago and they played Linus and Lucy on the tublums (the thing the Blue man Group plays) not sure of the place but this reminds me of their competition.

what i want to know is how someone beat that
I used a PVC pipe for out flute and it turned out well... the copper can be a bit expensive, depending on how many trials you want to make:)
i wish mine sounded this good.
I've never built a flute for sounds of music, but I know you can use PVC pipe or copper rods
Nice. Keep it up. ^_^
I can't wait till I get out of JV
I wanna do "Sounds of Music" so badly :]
That's amazing; is that guitar cardboard? It oddly looks like it. If so, how does it withhold the tension of strings? Great job!
