I love how it came out!!! Can u give people like me tips on how to evenly part straight backs lol I sometimes run out of room at the nape it’s driving me crazy that I can’t figure it out. Thanks!!!!
Thank you so much!! You wanna always start your part in the middle of the head when doing straight backs, also as you part towards the nape it should become skinnier. I hope that makes sense.
@@Styled.bymommy Thank you!! That’s probably where I mess up at lol I start in the middle then go side to side.... I probably don’t angle it skinnier....I’ll try that. Your braids are nice n neat...I’m gonna follow whatever u say lol thanks again for the reply 😃
This video is so helpful. I am new to braiding which is funny after 4 girls that were not into it, my son is. I have done box braids and moving into cornrows. I like the way you apply the product with your comb and placing the comb right there in his hair is genius. Where do you use the Shine and Jam vs the Edge control though.? And does the mousse just at more frizz control?
I apply the shine and jam on the parts and I apply the edge control on the hair prior to braiding. The mousse at the end is to tame frizz and add shine.
Linda Smith Hello there honey you got it going on and yes you did a wonderful job I need to know what kind of jel or jam you use and what are those thing called you put on you little fingers to do the stitch braids I don’t have anything fingernails so I can’t part the hair Thanks so much keep up the good work
Skills? people been wearing their hair like this. I guess my grandmother has skills because she used to do this to my sister's hair where we used to stay over her house and I'm sure she also did this to my mother's hair. You kids these days are trip and don't know anything about the history of your people
@@TheMilesmontana he washes his hair with Cantu shampoo and I use the products described in the description. Nothing extra special has been added to grow his hair. this was good to watch, with the instrumental as well. question if you don't mind, do you have tips for detangling? I undid some two strand twists that I had for 6 months and when I washed it became so thick that trying to detangle it was in vain. Thank you
Thank you so much! I recommend combing out the hair with a shampoo or wide tooth comb before wetting your hair. After washing, split hair into 4 sections and apply conditioner and detangle from tips to root. Hope this helps❤️
I'm glad I wasn't his stylist because I would have been messing up on purpose just to play in his hair. His hair is absolutely beautiful.... something like silk. The braids came out nice. I'm going to attempt this style on my daughter.

So I'm Old School, what is "pop smoke braids"? What I see in the Video is normal braiding.. even the style is how my mother would braid my hair when I was little. Someone help me understand.. lol The braiding is nice and neat.. very nice.
Pop smoke was a rapper. He always had these braids in. He has recently died and ever since then these braids have been high demand for us young people.
Hi @AshleyMariee I love how his hair turned out! I was wondering to detangle the hair before styling, do you wet it? And if so, what product did you use to detangle.
Thank you so much!! Yes, always detangle hair when wet, I used a small amount of leave in conditioner by Adwoa beauty. I recommend washing, conditioning, and then rinsing the hair. I only used a leave in prior to braiding bcuz he didn’t detangle his hair prior to arriving.
Thank you so much, honestly his curl up as well after a few days and he usually straightens them back with his hands. Maybe try braiding the ends with an edge control and avoid getting the ends wet.
I’d say just embrace your curl since nothing you can do will stop it from curling (esp over time as the style gets old). Only way to eliminate the curl up is probably using a chemical relaxer. It’s just the biology of our hair 🤷🏽
This guy got beautiful hair
Thank you.
