How to build a substation from scratch

A six-month build in 6 minutes.
Take a look behind the scenes to see how we go about building a substation from scratch. Any large building project is challenging enough for project managers, but the risks at this big-build included various COVID waves, high-voltage electricity, tidal groundwater issues and lasers.
We completed this large-scale project to construct a brand-new substation in St Kilda, South Australia. The substation will help deliver a land-based test facility for the Navy's new Hunter Class frigates. It will also allow us more flexibility for managing the electricity supply to the northern suburbs as the area continues to be developed.

Very impressive! I was struck by the amount of underground infrastructure that was part of the build that you never see in the completed installation.

Absolutely, we just watched a massive grounding "mat" get laid out that may even tie into the heavy fencing. . I see this as more evidence that electricity is not manufactured but its managed. This is likely the lightning "arresting" part of the game that's part of the secret of our grid. Were hoaxed to believe a giant gas fed generator is pumping current across a trillion miles of wires.

Are there any Geological, GeoMechanical, etc. testing of the Underground done prior to the building of a Substation on a Site to kind of ensure it is "unlikely" that an Earthquake or other GeoHazards MAY NOT occur for reasons of Safety? THANK YOU.
