About my overall opinions, I think Northern Mill fits well and I can probably have a decent time listening to it. My thoughts are pretty much the same for Relic Valley, although overall it's not as good. Toxic Woods has some good parts and I can appreciate BSlick's stylistic decision for this, but it easily feels the least fitting. And although you can argue that this OST fits the map the most, Forgotten Tombs is the weakest. My problems with this one also carry over to the other 3, which is that they all feel like soundtracks from entirely different games. And they also feel very light, by which I mean there's little to no intensity in comparison to their respective maps. If you want actual good OSTs to listen to, I recommend Games' unofficial Forgotten Tombs and Relic Valley soundtracks. Those are far superior, imo
Honestly I think forgotten tombs is the worst out of the four cuz there's no sense of danger even though its covered with lava and Northern Mill Is kinda alright with the farm theme and relic valley and toxic woods ost just don't have a lot of that poisonous vibe that the map has but has some creativity to it.
@@skulleryskuffling Way more superior, I didn't like Northern Mill's start, but it fits, and I didnt like Relic Valley, but I guess it fits, I liked forgotten tombs but it only fits in the start, They seriously could've used some fanmade soundtracks by games and they would've spent less robux, games doesn't even charge that much and it could've even been free.
BSlick is a great composer, but his music is something that would fit in RPG's and such. For example the Toxic Woods OST is something that would play in an RPG game when you're adventuring and exploring through the woods while fighting enemies, it's an upbeat track that gives you energy while you play. That's not the point of the game, the game is meant to be intense and stressful since there's a flood that inches closer to you every second and a single mistake can make you inch closer to your death. Obviously that doesnt apply as much in easy maps, because the flood is slow, but atleast make the song atmospheric for easier maps, just like Elite did with Zemblanity or like Navola did with Flood Island and other maps. That's my thoughts. TLDR; basically they're good OST's but they dont fit for FE2 as a concept.
I agree. I feel that the songs layers are all jittery, and none of them flow, which makes them not fit in with the flow of the map. Toxic woods sounds alright with the notes, but it lacks melody which makes it stray from the feel of the map.

@@think_of_a_storyboard3635 dude idc about commas bc this is TH-cam. (No offense, I just don’t care for mistakes in my comments on TH-cam except spelling ones
@@bunayogaming_q2841 it just makes your comments hard to read because it's super long, and there are no pausing points.
@@think_of_a_storyboard3635 :)
Don't worry guys! This is like the Ignis Peaks and Sandswept Ruins situation, if you listen to it more you might like it and get used to it eventually! 😄
real!
although the other osts fit their theme (fast and dangerous for ssr and slow but loud for ignis) these bunch really dont
stop trying to compliment the osts man, it’s not fitting :/
@@ShamcySab Don't care I love the new OSTs~ :)
@@ShamcySab if you try to think of a different vibe for the map, you'll realize it just fits
Northern mill and relic valley are my favourites
The OST's really sound off, and I mean that in the best way possible. Since I really enjoy listening to them.
1. Forgotten Tombs
2. Relic Valley
3. Northern Mill
4. Toxic Woods
The new ost’s go hard ngl but don’t match but that’s ok as long as they go hard and it’s a banger I’m ok with it
Windswept valley ost gets no love
Tbh, I feel that Relic Valley's OST does not sit well with me 😭😭
Reminds me of the 2018 egghunt, that game had amazing music
Oh it was made by the same guy
I love bslicks music, especially with how they handled sandswept ruins, despite a sandy and archaelogical map bslick managed to compose sci-fish music that fitted the map. But now these new osts don’t really have any creativity/fits the map apart from relic valley. Northern mill and forgotten tombs is so unfitting, maybe toxic woods too
Y'all are blinded by nostalgia
Stop hating the Bslick new song remixes to ft, nm, tw and rv, seriously you guys have a bad taste on music
STOP BEING BLINDED BY NOSTALGIA AND ATLEAST ENJOY THE NEW REMIXES!
Relic valley ost gets bland midway through, northern mill is decent but still not a masterpiece, forgotten tombs is bland at start but becomes decent in the middle and toxic woods just sucks overall with the shit trap music so your blinded by newer shit
Lol, there's no way not to criticize the OSTs, especially the one about the Forgotten Tombs, which besides being very bad, also doesn't match the map at all. Using """""nostalgia""""" as an excuse to criticize those who didn't like it is being quite ignorant, because the songs themselves are all bad (the only one that was good was Toxic Woods)
ngl i feel like the soundtracks didnt really fit, forgotten tombs shouldve sounded something like lava tower, northern mill obviously shoulded sounded like christmas, toxic woods shouldve sounded dark and ominous, and idk relic valley
It's also probably because I'm not used to them yet, I've only tried Toxic Woods in the game, so maybe my opinion will change
honestly i feel like the new osts have their ups and downs. they seem kind of bland & some don't really sync with the gameplay. I wish the Toxic Woods OST would at least sync with the lighting. No hate to BSlick at all but I don't seem to enjoy them.
FIRE OSTS
I feel like Manel Navola would have done better with northern mill.
Manel navola is the most people that understand each map with exact theme
@@Afterturbo Yeah, but I honestly dont know where navola currently is, hasn't been posting on the channel 🤷
@@bennyftw885 he currently works at Digital Sun and has worked on games like the Mageseeker
@@terux Ah, good to know.
@@bennyftw885he also quit making fe2 music
these new osts are way overhated bro, they're just ok. not amazing but they're ok
the soundtracks alone are good but most of them doesn’t fit the maps at all, I think bslick only based the music on the prompts or the map name without even looking at the maps themselves 😩
Idk i think relic valley is fire, the others are mid tho
first time I have really disliked BSlick's OSTs... none of these fit the maps at all
Most of his OSTs don't fit the map's theming anyways... Still a banger though...
All of these suck exept for northern mill imo, The other ones are just plain bad or dont fit in any way possible
nvm i prefer these four maps to use back other maps ost
In like 2021 Bslick made good music
Old Relic Valley OST was significantly better :/
It definitely fit the map better i can say that. But in terms on just the music alone i like the new one. It doesn’t fit the map but it sure is a song i could just listen to at anytime
We’re these rushed? His old osts for this game fits the theme but these new ones are…
These osts doesn’t fit at all like northern mill is some random space like song now??? And lost woods is some sort of rap beat now?, relic valley is alright but it feels of while playing, I feel like the old osts definitely fit these maps much more, this is my opinion so don’t go all out war trying to change my mind, these osts are good I am not typing this to hate but these osts don’t fit flood escape and they don’t give me the flood escape type of feeling.
When i relook at BSlick's OSTs I find he indeed does a different type of music than Navola or Lux
Thats why many people are upset I think, theyre used to their OSTs, and not BSlick's
this is why decrepit seas is forgotten
💀💀
Nice
Rip, they could be decent if they could fit the map, or even the game
i like forgotten tombs and northern mills, but the rest (im talking to you toxic woods) is very bad.
bro farded and called it a "composition" 💀💀
Not too big of a fan of these. Especially toxic words and forgotten tombs. Just don’t like the song.
Relic Valley is such a good one though. It doesn’t match the map I can say that. Old one matched the “vibe” better. But new relic valley ost is one i can just listen to anytime and i will just happily listen.
the only good ost is relic valley
they arent bad just none of them fit the map besides forgotten tombs
These new OSTs doesn't seem like same FE2 anymore, idk why but, some OSTs doesn't fit well in FE2. It's not that epic anymore.
Snowy Peaks is good tbh
Forgotten Tombs's OST is mid
The rest are trash.
Honestly never liked bslicks music I think they should of had someone else compose
The songs are good but not themed
They are good and all, but they don't seem to fit the game itself.
This is probably because it's similar to the 2017-2018 era of fe2...
They sound like SuperGolf, mostly in Relic Valley's case, which makes sense because BSlick did the SuperGolf OST.
he just did it for the money... zero soul in these tunes. he didn't even try and make them work well.
These dont really fit the FE2 vibe
okay hear me out
I believe I make better music than these 4 songs
and I use Soundtrap
i don't fw this
Terrible doesn't fit at all
