Oh wow! That really is different. The whole warning system has been made from an enclosure box and Klaxon Flashguard LED Beacons! The tram looks interesting too! Great video!
It was very interesting to look at. I looked very closely at both units and couldn't find a manufacture name anywhere. Thanks for letting me know the beacons. I may be incorrect but the bleepers might be the same things inside push button units at road crossings. Thank you! 😎👍
No problem. You can see the bleeper in the middle and it does sound like a pelican crossing, but I don't know who makes it. There are a lot of generic bleepers out there so it could be anything.
The warning came when the train was very near! The train had to stop to wait for the lights to turn red! I think the trigger should be further up the line.
Thank you mate! I publish videos on a priority basis - so it doesn't matter if they're in date order or not. I wanted this video out as it'll be the first video of this warning light crossing 😎😎
Same as these. The yellow lights flash alternately then red lights flash alternately. Same sequence here except the red lights flash together rather than alternately. The other crossing also has lower pitched bleepers.
They should have fence on both sides of the rails so no one can ever accidentally touch or go near the center electrified rail. Seems dangerous to have a 110 volt rail just laying there unprotected.
Regular crossing lights would be too expensive and they're quite large so they wouldn't fit. These lights are non-standard and I guess, not that expensive to manufacture.
These warning lights are relatively new, having been installed in early 2018 during the railways redevelopment. I don't think the lights originate from America but I don't know where they were manufactured.

Hello morthren
I'm a subscriber :)
REALLY LIKE THE SOUND AND THE LIGHT.
Never seen anything like this before! It's unique and rather special.
Yeah it is, very unique 😎

Good one love this level crossing love the lights
This thing is cute and nice, I could literary build one in my garage.
this is hands down the best video of 2018!
Lol, thanks very much 😎👍
Well this is different !. Great video :)
Thank you 😎😎 - It's something I've never seen before so I had to film it 😁👍
I can see why ! :)
Irelandbloke didn’t you hear the bell? Does it sound like Milltown Level Crossing?
Great video mate, didn’t think you’d upload these already. 😁😁

Great video! Interesting how the yellow lights alternate, but not the red ones.
Thank you! There's another crossing with these lights on this railway no more than 300ft down the line. The red lights on those flash alternately.
Huh. How do the yellow lights on those operate? Makes me wonder if these were just mis-wired or something...
Same as these. The yellow lights flash alternately then red lights flash alternately. Same sequence here except the red lights flash together rather than alternately. The other crossing also has lower pitched bleepers.
Good to see the ambers fully joining in the party here :) more satisfying sequence than roadside wigwags
👍
How does this work anyway?
Because the red lights came on too lately.
The yellow lights flash up and down then the red lights flash left to right
Lovely stuff
Thanks 😊
Very strange yet cool level crossing!
Keep it up
Thank you 😊
Train approach. Dell. It's tram. No train.
Nice rail!
What do the red lights mean?
They just flash alerting you to an approaching tram.
The sound...😲
0:35 I see the train
Wow, amazing job recording this, It's the first time I see this type of crossing! Awesome!
Thanks very much 😁
Well that’s a very strange crossing, especially having an exposed live rail with 110 volts.
Yeah I did wonder about that live rail being so close. And yeah quite a unique crossing
Very beautiful. 👍👍👍😍😆
Thank you! 😎
Brighton, Beautiful 😍Classic Tram 🚋
👍
Thank you
Wow, that's uhh... different. Great video!
Yeah, it is quite different! Thank you 😎👍
When trucks go reversin' they make this sound!!!
Yeah, just not as loud lol
@@UKLevelCrossingsChannel In 🇦🇷 trucks sounds louder
Unusual level crossing.
The noise is loud and annoying but unique I have never seen a crossing like that before
Yeah, neither have I, it's quite cool ☺️
This is innovative
Yeah, it looks very interesting 😎
xD
They should have fence on both sides of the rails so no one can ever accidentally touch or go near the center electrified rail. Seems dangerous to have a 110 volt rail just laying there unprotected.
A dog was killed there very recently. The rail is clearly very dangerous.
Is this type of crossing in the Highway Code?
No, because it's not a public highway crossing. It's on a footpath to the beach across the heritage Volks Railway.
It kind of sounds like a smoke alarm that doesn't like to stop beeping...
Yeah lol
😂
Did you notice that there is a rallroad crossing in Minford
I saw one
I've never been to Minford or the USA before, but it seems like a cool crossing
I love it
why didn't they just use regular crossing signals?
Regular crossing lights would be too expensive and they're quite large so they wouldn't fit. These lights are non-standard and I guess, not that expensive to manufacture.
That level crossings a bit different
110 Volts 3rd rail?
Yes, the third rail carries quite a lot of volts for this electric railway
Good video Jamie
Thank you Ted 👍😉
Been on this line before
I only discovered it when it announced reopening this year. I shall return next summer 😎
I hope they disconnect the third rail when they aren't nearby,
Yeah I think they power every off once the last tram has run. It appeared so when I was watching them close it up
OK then... Nice vid nonetheless!
Thanks 😊
So cool
Yay!!
It sounds just like a smoke alarm
Yeah, and it's very loud lol
How unique!
I agree 👍
*It's great, but* it takes way too long to activate, It LITERALLY activates at the LAST SECOND....
Yeah it does
@@UKLevelCrossingsChannel hm, They should probably make it activate sooner....
Always Epic
Thank you 😎👍
Wich crossing Is that? SOUNDS SUPER ANOING!😣
It's a pedestrian crossing on the Volks Railway in Brighton. It's very loud and annoying I agree!
Nice homemade signal
Yeah it looks quite cool
😎😎😎😎 nice Jamie go Jamie for a nice video
Thanks Jevan 😎
Jamieven
I think I've been there befire becsus ei feel like ice seen that..
I live in Brighton! :D
Brighton's a great city 😄
Oldest electric railway on the planet.
Yeah, oldest in the world according to the website
I've never seen these lights!
Neither have I. Unfortunately I couldn't find out the manufacture for the lights 😐
@@UKLevelCrossingsChannel I don't know too the manufacture of lights 😔. Great video anyway !
Thanks 😎
I live In Warton Near Blackpool / Lytham, In the north, I only see one At a time. And this is rare I think.
The lights are Klaxon Flashguard LED Beacons. They're usually used as warning beacons on machinery and things like that.
Cool
Thanks 😎👍
I love you
That looks funny :D
It's quite interesting indeed - very unusual 😉
that's a strange level crossing
Yeah it is, very interesting 👍
Wow this looks weird
The train is small
I love it 😎
Thanks! 😎👍
This looks to be an older design of a crossing, and this is coming from an American.
These warning lights are relatively new, having been installed in early 2018 during the railways redevelopment. I don't think the lights originate from America but I don't know where they were manufactured.
I'm American, that's what I meant to say. Thanks anyway.
Sorry misread your comment. Thanks 👍
Really odd level crossing
Yeah it is
That's a bit odd lol
Thats the slowist train ever
The trams don't travel very fast
@@UKLevelCrossingsChannel oh thats a tram? i thought it was a slow ass train xd
Yeah this railway is a miniature tramway along the seafront ☺️
Pkw
Wierd crossing
Yeah it is
