Thank you!! And yes! That modulate knob makes the reverb very creepy!! The next thing I will get will be the Polymoon to match the mercury. I imagine that combo will be awesome
Just ordered the bladerunner pedal mercury 7 to use with my synths. I am going to focus on the created floppy disks I made for my DSS-1 Korg, using this pedal. CHEERS!
I think price-wise, it can do a lot that the big sky does! For ridiculous space reverbs, I really enjoy the Mercury7. It adds another dimension that I've never been able to recreate with the Big sky. However, The big sky is still an incredible reverb that I love and won't ever get rid of.
I'm guessing you probably don't use that patch at 2:35 for pop american evangelical praise and worship lol .. but boy it'd work great in a sci-fi or horror flick!
Well, it may be appropriate if the sermon was about the God destroying Sodom, or something similar! Nothing like getting the congregation hiding under the pews! 😉 😁 p.s. Does the reverb unit have midi, or would you have to tweak it every time you change patches or songs?
hahahahah@@derekbaker3279 . Well yes it does have MIDI capabilities and 16 presets that can be recalled by MIDI (over TRS). I haven't set it up with my midi switcher just yet since I prefer to perform with my big sky but I can do it haha I usually have my disaster area midi switcher to change all my synth presets and the effects presets at the same time on my live rig (OB6, Rev 2, Strymon trinity)
You'll get there. Problem is, any synth you try it on sounds like magic so you don't want to stop playing. When I get around to running my Boomstar thru it they may need to send out a search party for me. Or a deep space probe.
@@monsterjazzlicks yes kind of like helicopter blades. I mean unless it’s actually flashing which I highly doubt. I’ve seen this on computer monitors and other screens too.
I have thought about getting the Meris effects, but i am unsure about the input. I like to have L+R in and out. I am curious. How are you running audio from the Prophet? Is it just L mono or L+R mono ts into TRS Y cable? Or just TRS from L into the Mercury?
Which one? The first patch is a layered patch based on the stock Rev 2 DCO Chorus patch, except what I did was make a simple pad for layer b for that extra dimension, and then I routed the LFO (triangle) to the mod wheel and a bit of cutoff for both layers so it swells when I move up the wheel, and then I added some after touch for the pad to open the filter up when I press hard.
This pair sounds absolutely amazing, instant 80s sci fi and synth pop. Love your playing and chord progressions too
I just got this synth and have been really happy with it. That sound is killing it bud. Thanks for posting
Just incredible!
Holy smoke! You can really do some creepy horror/alien movies soundtracks with that combo! Fantastic demo sir!

Yes the reverb sounds lush on the patches you've played. I look forward to hearing the comparison
The Rev 2 is such a great sounding keyboard. Adding reverb makes it sound even more amazing. I would appreciate your thoughts on the Boss RV-6 reverb.

Man! Fantastic sound you’re getting outta this thing! Just curious if this is the 8 or 16 voice version?
I recently bought the Meris Mercury 7. I am in love with it's lushness.
I have the Neuenaber Immerse stomp box. Not sure how it might compare to this, or your Strymon?
I am speechless! :)
YAY!!!! There it is! Thank You Uriel! :*
Incredible.
Killer combo
great demo - thanks heaps for posting!
It factory sounds?
Nice sounding reverb!
very nice, Love the sound of the rev2. Are you planning on getting the Prophet x? :) would love to see what you could do with that !
I would love to get one!
Have a little synth with your reverb? :p
Why do you prefer this over the Big Sky? Could u do pros and cons of both? I am looking at Mercury 67, Big Sky and Eventide Space

To me the big sky outperforms the other reverbs in the shimmer category th-cam.com/video/hviD7JjIflM/w-d-xo.html

@@leiruagetro Thank you Uriel!
Got one of these last week as well. Sounds superb with the Peak. Instant Blade Runner.
I haven't even tried it with the peak yet! I'm a slacker

Why on earth is the Rev 2 LED window scrolling and flashing constantly?!
The camera is picking up the refresh rate your eyes can’t see. 😉👍

@@Sam9wilson9 that is helpful to know.
Osea que para que suene asi de vacano hay que comprarle tambien el juguetito de a lado ? 🙄😕 Y sin el mercury suena hueco ?
What stand are you using for the Peak?

The cable is a Y cable with TRS to 2 TS, it works great like this!

SUBSCRIBED . . . . . NOW TIME TO BE
jealous I don't have your gear >:
Did you make this patch? or is a stock one? It sounds great!

That's the ticket the very first ones were grand. I'm dialing up DCO Chorus now to start fiddling! Thank you!
no problem! it's like bank 4 patch 80ish
it sounds nice but i think big sky must be prettier , do the comparison if you can please :)
The big sky will always be my go-to reverb, it's so versatile! I will definitely work on a video soon
Why must it be prettier its a 6 year old pedal?
