As usual enjoyed your video, just a comment on presentation of your whole squid, have you thought about putting the hook out through the eye instead of the mouth area, as that is where they release their ink?
Buddy I live in Lydd and Galloways is my local venue, I can tell you that after 25 years of fishing here it’s currently very slow, although I have had the odd decent session they are few and far between, just wanted to say that this year all my Bass have been caught on the flood towards high tide, not much at all on the ebb or low.
I really like your videos mate. I fished there for the low and the flood till it hit the shingle just this Monday night so I just had to watch this! I reckon you were there a day or two before?...it was dark already when I got there. Yes it was a full moon, which I also hate, but fully overcast at least. I headed right a fair ways like you and must have fished near your spot. Lucky me tho the bass were there that night and I had 3 in quick succession when the tide turned. I was using worms that were fresh out with my bait pump. I heard you complaining about the price of worms - too right! There was a load of worms where you were setup, to be had with a decent pump and a bit of practice, although I' sure you know already :) Fresh and full of blood soo much better for the bass than that expensive newspaper stuff in my experience! I also called it a night when I started getting tiny whiting. Wishing you better luck next time

Yeah sizeable whiting are worth fishing for and filling the freezer with👍
