Culture is the set of shared characteristics of a social group or society, including their beliefs, values, and behaviors. It can also include the material and intellectual aspects of a group, such as their physical objects and belongings, and their arts, literature, and music. Culture is often passed down through generations and can be attributed to a specific region or location.
Culture can be so unpredictable that nowadays we got Corteiz as a successfull streetwear brand out of the UK and anything corteiz related to me makes me feel part of a collective
To answer the selling-out question you first need to define what you mean by 'Selling out', my understanding is that you start by making a credible product with integrity but as you see success coming closer on the horizon you drop your standard to reach demand and to maximise your profits at the cost of the product so 'Does selling out still exist?' was the question. From listening to this, I get the idea that there is a modern artist who is afraid of poverty or feels that being broke is a bad thing. Most of our greatest art movements were born from poverty, so again, does selling out still exist? I would suggest that it does, and the evidence can be seen in the quality of the art we produce these days compared to what was created and seen as high art in the past, today's art is mostly motivated by what sells.
