I would LOVE to see Colourpop create some doucrhromes or very intense shifting shades. I already have the other pallets so it will be easy to skip this one. Thank you for saving me from wasting my much needed cash!❤️❤️❤️
I think they leave it to the Stix. Maybe a super shock or two. I'm worried they're reducing the super shock to put more in palettes that are neutral heavy.
The moment I saw the images of the palette I thought of smoke and roses. Pretty, but not something I need. Thank you for the wonderful review, super helpful as always.
I'm so tired of their most interesting shades in every palette being that micro-glitter formula. We know they can do duochromes! That Bulbasaur SSS in particular was stunning (one of my favorite purchases of the entire year, in fact)... I wish we'd see more of that in their palettes instead. As always, thank you so much for your thorough review. ❤
I was wondering why I was attracted to this palette… but it’s because I have the other 9 pan purple palettes. Thank you for the comparisons! Saved me money. 🤣
This is sooooo pretty!! I have so many Colourpop palettes, but I think I'll still get this one. I'm not the most creative, so I love it when a brand puts a color story together that makes me want to try different combinations! For me, even though I probably have every shade times 10, I wouldn't even think to put them together from different palettes, so this makes me excited because it's easy and fun! I think I'll just get the palette, and I'm excited to see a new palette release from them! I love your eyelook, and I always love hearing your thoughts!
I purchased Wine & Only and Orchid You Not on a $9/palette sale ana then 2 weeks ago i picked up Petals En Pointe on sale for $4.5 ulta online. I think you just saved me from obsessing After Hours just because it's new. Thanks for the review!
I'm very much drawn to this palette but that's probably because I have Wine & Only, Orchid You Not and Blowin' Smoke lol. I'm still on the fence so we'll see. Thank you for the comparisons, Amanda! They're always super helpful
This color story reminds me of a palette they released back in 2017/2018 that had a carnival tent on it, but with more red shades. I hate that the duochromes are the pressed glitter formula because I know a lot of people will try this palette and use those shades and not properly prep their eyes so I suspect a lot of people will have eye issues because of those shades. Thank you for sharing swatches and your thoughts on this collection, as always!
Have you, by chance, received the mystery boo box? I am fairly new to your channel, and I am so grateful to have found you! I am in NC, too 😊 I love your content!
A really good tip I heard somewhere online to remove glitter more easily was to take some tape put it over the glitter. That way most (if not all) of the glitter sticks to the tape and it's easier to remove. I unfortunately can't say I've tried it myself bc I almost never wear glitter but it sounds like a good idea that's at least worth trying
Have you tried the Ace Beaute liquid lip formula in the Boujee packaging. It's matte but it's not a traditional matte. It stays in place, but it's so nourishing. I absolutely love it 💙💙
As a fellow gloss/balm fanatic, one of the only matte lips I've loved til it was gone was Band T, which I got on your reccomendation!, and sadly it seems to have been discontinued 😢 but the lux blur formula from CP is really comfortable and soft. Half Magic's Mouth Cloud is the only other product i own w a similar feeling/control over pigment level. Side note, I ordered some of the lip balms from your collection with FC and they are amazing🤩
I love my color pop palette . I only have one and it was only six dollars but I love it almost as much as I love a palette that I paid 12 times as much for… oh the color pop palette is called heavy petal
I also have this one :) paid like double but i recommend just finding a cool every day pallet at tj max from them! I just way over spent on the stranger things collection but she’s so pretty at least
I am a tinted lip balm girlie living in a matte lipstick world too!! I hardly own any actual lipsticks because NO. I recently emptied my work bag because it had gotten heavy & there were FOURTEEN lip balm/gloss/oils in there! 😭
I think CP does such a nice job within this price point. I have “Give it to me strait” in triplicate. It’s the kind of palette that every time I pick it up I make a lovely look.
I don't have any of CP palettes used for comps, so I'm still considering it. I do want the shadow sticks because day-to-day I'm all about a quick eye look I can do in a minute or two. Unsure about the blushes or lipsticks when I might already have similar shades from CP. (Also not huge on mattes, but a clear gloss over the top usually fixes my issues with wearing mattes.) Thanks for the review!
Oooh this is so impressive for coloupop but I don’t care for red tones. Hope they keep up with this. I also hope they make more interesting color stories and not so monochromatic.
I love your swatches, I don't have to pause the video and just enjoy how they shift with the lighting ❤ I'd only add real life swatches to see how smoothly they apply
Thanks for reviewing this Amanda. I can’t do mattes well either. I will put them on, wait a bit, blot them and then top them with a balm or gloss. I don’t mind a bit of a stain. The palette is pretty but not groundbreaking. It looks like it won’t be particularly easy to use.
This is another palette that I will justify my purchase because I’m lacking “specific shades/undertones”… all the while I’m absolutely buying this for the packaging because it’s so cute! 🤩😅
Amanda, I have watched your videos for forever, and love your content. I know this is added work, but could you possibly also show color cosmetics eyeshadows, blush, etc in natural light? Both the palette for example, and the finished look? I have come to realize the studio lighting is so different than reality, and to get a real understanding of the actual shades natural light seems to be the best. I have purchased palettes based on how they look in videos then get the product and sometimes, depending on the channel, the palette I receive can look like a completely different palette than how it appeared in the video 😢 Love your face 😊
I posted a sunlit pic on my Instagram but I often don’t have sun during my filming times either due to time of day or the weather so it’s just not something I can feasibly commit to! My lighting is very true to life though as I don’t do any color grading or filtering 😊
Fall Romance? It had a lot of bright purples, chatreuse shades, and gold-copper metallics, and their neutral shades were warm-leaning. This one seems very desaturated-burgundy and cool-leaning neutrals.
Party Hour is such a beautiful deep lip shade!! 😍 And this palette is a lovely color story, but I wish they would just completely stop with the glitter shades.
Why didn't they save this palette for Valentine's? It would be perfect for then. Anyways I don't want it since I basically already have it with my makeup collection, but I still think it is pretty.
At first, I thought the color was similar to Natasha Denona retro glam midi palette. But the greens are much deeper green. They’re not sage, the roses are a little deeper. Yeah, I feel like it’s a different pallet and it’s actually more wearable.
@@MakeupJustForFun I thought off the clock was a deep khaki green, and a couple colors on bottom were dark teal greens. Perhaps the colors just look weird on my screen.
I prefer tinted lip balms too. I have very thin lips and I sometimes wear lipstick, but I feel like I look like the anime characters that wear lipstick haha
I love blush and lip tones, and the shifting glitters are very pretty - but I do not trust that formula near my eyeballs. I had a really close look at the glitter from the Lavish palette and saw particles standing up like shards. Also, the shade I examined was quite dry, and the particles did not adhere well without a primer. These newer shades look like they adhere better and lay flat, I really hope they have improved their formula.
Beautiful color story, but i can't do the glitter. Don't get me wrong i LOVE glitter, just not in my eyeshadows. I still like the palette, but the glitter killed it for me personally 💙💙
Is this palette close at all from "lusk to dusk" i think thats what its called. I just know when i first saw the color story i thought of that dusk one for some reason. Curious how close they are or if not at all?!?!
It very much feels like a sequel or sister palette to lust for dusk. Same palette layout, neutrals with a twist and pops of duochrome, mix of warm and cool/gray mattes. Even the palette titles seem like a sequence, dusk to after dark
@@MakeupJustForFun ok thx I don’t have many colourpop palettes anymore I did a giant declutter but I did get the smokin hot and precious metals on order I hope I made a good choice with those :) I love your channel because you go deep into comparisons 💜
I would love some lip stains. I can't wear lipstick or lip gloss. I automatically start talking weird like I can't move my lips when I feel some product on my lips. 😅 prior to lip stains I was buying cheap lipstick like wet n wild, wearing it for 30 minutes & taking it off. Leaving stain.
I’m not a fan of glitters either. I felt like Colourpop had finally started listening and stopped putting pressed glitters on every palette but then they started with this smaller glitter formula and now are back to putting that in every palette. It would have been nice to have the shifty shades be their metallic formula and NOT glitters
Thank you for comparing all of the existing palettes. It has stopped me from purchasing the new palette. I have most of the others that you showed as dupes.
I love when you keep your honest opinions and suggestions. I don't prefer all matte lipstick, I love my glasses. Very informative and helpful. The blushes are nice but I agree they are similar. Thanks for sharing.👍💯🍂🤎🏵️🍁❗☺️
"I am a tinted lip balm girlie living in a matte lipstick world" so real
I would LOVE to see Colourpop create some doucrhromes or very intense shifting shades. I already have the other pallets so it will be easy to skip this one. Thank you for saving me from wasting my much needed cash!❤️❤️❤️
I agree. I’m glad I also have some of these palettes so I didn’t go buy another that is too similar.
I think they leave it to the Stix. Maybe a super shock or two. I'm worried they're reducing the super shock to put more in palettes that are neutral heavy.

My toxic trait is accidentally buying dupes of palettes I already have because "I already know I love those shades" 😂

I’m the same way! Seeing the color combos in a new way is exciting even though I have most of the colors in other pallets
I purchased Wine & Only and Orchid You Not on a $9/palette sale ana then 2 weeks ago i picked up Petals En Pointe on sale for $4.5 ulta online. I think you just saved me from obsessing After Hours just because it's new. Thanks for the review!
Trouble Maker is a Top Ten of All Time
The palette is so pretty! Thank you for your early reviews!
I'm very much drawn to this palette but that's probably because I have Wine & Only, Orchid You Not and Blowin' Smoke lol. I'm still on the fence so we'll see. Thank you for the comparisons, Amanda! They're always super helpful
the deepest lip shade looks STUNNING on you! 🥰
Oh thank you!
It really does!
Thank you so much for this review and the comparisons. I also have/love the Trouble Maker palette and especially appreciate seeing that compared.
Same love the comparisons, reminded me to pull out my troublemaker palette
I really love the look of this whole collection. Especially the palette and the blushes. ❤

It’s been a while since a newly released Colourpop palette enticed me… one particular duochrome is gorgeous
Absolutely! 💜
Love the moody vibe 🖤
Some of the eyeshadow shades and all of the lipsticks would make pretty blushes too!
A really good tip I heard somewhere online to remove glitter more easily was to take some tape put it over the glitter. I don't wear gliter but it works well for chunky sparkly shades like the Terra moons chunky pricey formula or shinebysd fantasy 2.0s
Thanks for always doing comparisons on new palettes, forget about one already in my stash

You’ve inspired me to pull out some pallets that I already own!

I have been waiting for your take on those lippies!
Would love to see your palette redesign
Good morning, Amanda! I've been looking forward to your video on this collection! 😊 I hope you have a great day. 🫶
I have the smoke n roses palette, they really are very similar shades!! 💯
I know I don’t need it but god is it pretty. Yes glitter is glitter. But I also. Rlly like glitter. ✨
I’ve missed your face! It’s been a little while since I’ve watched a video!
I'm also a tinted lip balm or lip stain girlie, do you have any videos of your fave options?

Yeay, I have Making Mauves and Troublemaker!
Great palettes!
Seems like dupe on Anastasia Beverly hills palette from last autumn, smth about romance (I forget the name of it)
Fall Romance? It had a lot of bright purples, chatreuse shades, and gold-copper metallics, and their neutral shades were warm-leaning. This one seems very desaturated-burgundy and cool-leaning neutrals.
I think those three lip shades would make a pretty ombre lip.
I agree!
Can you compare the Power Pout formula with the Lippie Stix Matte X formula?
I think this is a good alternative to the Twilight collection, very vampy
Party Hour is such a beautiful deep lip shade!! 😍
And this palette is a lovely color story, but I wish they would just completely stop with the glitter shades.
This colorstory immediately reminded me of one of the old lime crime palettes tho I can't remember the name.
Hi , new here❤ I think ‘’ party hour’’ is stunning on you!
Oh thank you!
Why didn't they save this palette for Valentine's? It would be perfect for then. Anyways I don't want it since I basically already have it with my makeup collection, but I still think it is pretty.
Scrolling through videos, I saw that Colourpop did a different launch 7 years ago also called After Hours. 🤔
I really wish they would do less matte lip products and have more satin or dewy finishes.
At first, I thought the color was similar to Natasha Denona retro glam midi palette. But the greens are much deeper green. They’re not sage, the roses are a little deeper. Yeah, I feel like it’s a different pallet and it’s actually more wearable.
There are no green shades in this palette 😅

I'd be jumping on this so fast if they were the 26mm pans. I just hate repanning colourpop mattes
Yep, when I first saw pics of this palette, I thought Troublemaker. Smoke & Roses is even closer! Thanks for all of these!

Their newer pearlescent glitter formula does have smaller glitter particles! Still not my leave but a definite improvement
I bought Troublemaker, on your recommendation, so I'm skipping. I was hoping for better duo/multichromes in this.
I thought the cooler browns were greens 😭
I keep seeing people say that! This palette has zero green shades 😅
Me too! I swear all the CP official promo photos on insta made it look purple and green, not wine & grey-brown.
Lust for Dusk is a lot more orange based shades while After Hours is more reddish brown focused!
It very much feels like a sequel or sister palette to lust for dusk. Same palette layout, neutrals with a twist and pops of duochrome, mix of warm and cool/gray mattes. Even the palette titles seem like a sequence, dusk to after dark
How similar do you think this is to Natasha denona retro? :)
I don’t have Retro so I can’t say for sure 😅
@@MakeupJustForFun ok thx I don’t have many colourpop palettes anymore I did a giant declutter but I did get the smokin hot and precious metals on order I hope I made a good choice with those :) I love your channel because you go deep into comparisons 💜
i clicked on this so fast 😂
Looks a lot like the Troublemaker palette.
Please review the stranger things collection? 🙏
Coming soon! Quick unboxing here:

It looks like the Dusk palette's older sister 🤔😂
Three "glitter" eyeshadows 👎 out of the 24, not for me. I will skip this one for sure 👎.
