Your struggle with an American keyboard inspired me to challenge you: why not try to switch your computer to BÉPO? That's actually optimized for French, unlike AZERTY which is still essentially a QWERTY derivative. Steve Wozniak was a fan of Dvorak and made sure that the //c and subsequent Apple II computers supported it so using an upgraded optimized keyboard layout very much fits the Apple II ethos
Interesting point! The issue is that I’m using a vidHD and to set it up, you need to have your computer with a US layout. After the boot and changing settings of the vidHD (set up is not saved you need to change it EVERYTIME !!!!) if I forget to go to the control panel and switch it back to French, I have this keyboard mismatch….
hi. im looking to buy an apple 2 GS, i was curious, i know there is a ensoniq sound chip on board, however, i was curious do you have plans to release or build a new sound card like a pico gus on the gs, and have you thought about a new video card (say something like a pico gus, only for video) how difficult would it be to implement the pico gus to the gs and perhaps a similar card or board written for video? think that is a possibility with your apple squeezer card?

The best to answer your questions is to contact directly Niek via his website www.applesqueezer.com . About video, there is a video card called VidHD which provide the ability to redirect the video signal via HDMI. About sound, you have tons of cards that are taking care of the onboarded ensoniq coprocessor like Darksound for example. Best !

Will this still ALSO work with with any of the Z80-Softcards, and if so, which one is recommended?
