I am hoping to learn ASL to communicate with my Deaf child. I'm hoping to rewatch this video a few times to pick up as much vocabulary as I can recognize (and learn more in return). Unfortunately as a beginning student in the language I can't understand much yet and realize that these videos not created for someone on my level. I will be very excited to come back to them each time and be proud as my understanding increases! Thank you for making these videos.

I'd love to share some of our fav resources in case you don't know about them, so great to learn alongside Deaf child: RMDSCO; ERCODvideos (both these TH-cam channels have lotsa stories for Deaf kids); also there's a series called SIGNit (www.signitasl.com or mydeafchild.org). Tons of great vocabulary and lessons for beginners (includes some of the most talented Deaf signers as guests and teachers). One last thing: there's an app available for iPhone and iPad called Signed Stories that my deaf child and I watch at bedtime every single night! I am always looking to collect more and more info, figure out which style of learning may work best for my comprehension, as well as finding material that my child and I can use together!
