Antoine is a quality friend. I never heard him try to talk you into sending something if you expressed reservation, but he's always helpful and patient if you ask his help.
Hey thanx for your honesty and comraderie. Most of us fear jumps at one time or another. Hearing how you get together and talk it through with others provides a great template on positive ways to be an overcomer. Kudos to you, Yuka and the team from the Wild West of Australia. Yee haww!
Ooof. I also broke my scaphoid and let me tell you, getting the cast off was just the start of it. It took months before I had any wrist strength built back up. Get well soon!
I'm new to the channel and I really like your honesty about ability. You could've only shown us the run you completed, but you showed us that everyone has reservations from time to time. Thanks for the video
Idk why I’m proud of you but that lap you did made me really happy, I know it took a lot to overcome that mental side of biking. Love the channel as always
Good job... nothing wrong with doing it safe. Plus it’s the best feeling not being able to doing features then over coming them... this is what we chase
Great vid. As I am fairly new to this, I am constantly coming across stuff that makes me nervous. I am confident that my confidence will grow as my skills increase tho. Great job at sending it.
The reason I like your videos is because you're basically me. I have the same fears. I've been injured enough in my teens to last a lifetime, and many of those injuries do just that.
This is a good strategy.. go slow and spot the landings the first time down, then go back up and just flow it. It looks like having Antoine pacing you helped a lot as well.
Dude! I am surprised, I’ve seen you doing some other stuff that I’m like “Wow, this guys is awesome “. That jump there should be piece of cake for you! You can do it, go for it. 🤙🏻
Nice trail. Wish there was more like that here in MN. Guess I gotta keep my own eye out for a spot where I can build something similar. Cheese wedges - just throw a brick under it like Pedro does in Napolean Dynamite! Big thanks to Yuka(sp?) for teaching me another method on how to manual, landing a jump - just go faster. I still have my share of mental reservations on features where I can SAY I am absolutely positive I can do, but just can't get past that last thread's worth of hesitation. When I'm feeling comfortable on take off, in the air, and landings (bike control, body position, minor adjustments as needed) that's when I know I can rely on a good "tow-in" and I really only need to see someone do a jump one time to have the trust that they'll not lead me astray. Not everyone approaches a particular "challenge" the same way. Find the way(s) that works for you, to keep you on the bike longer!!
Ohhh snap!! You two hit the trails and jumps in Fernie!!!! Will you do a video of it? I’m curious to know what someone else thinks of the trails we put so much effort into!
Hey, just wanted to say great job on continuing to make interesting videos while you can't ride. It must be really hard to just go through old footage and watch when you can't go do it! Hopefully you will actually benefit from this time of introspection and analysis! Get well soon!
Bro. It's just awesome for me to watch your videos. It gives me some of an inspiration and will to go and do more and more to be better with my bike and get nor skills. You just keep giving me courage somehow. It's like you showing me that you are just a human too and you have your fears. Thank you! (Btw just want to send you hello from Slovakia!) (Btw2 my gf sends hello to Yuka cause she's something for her like you are for me!)
good on ya man, that one shot ride through was beautiful :) i hope you heal up the rest of the way quickly and get some good riding in before the snow drops ;P
You walk the trail thast what I do or go more on it I have a nemesis trail to it’s at knock knolls it might not look so much scary on camera but in person it’s super scary cause one wrong step and your going over the side of the cliff I fell over the side once and teh problem is is taht itried to get up but it’s hard cause my feet kept on slipping
It's so critical to have a friend that knows your limits and can help you safely push them. I am visually impaired. (no central vision) You wouldn't believe some of the stuff I ride with coaching from my trusted friend.
How much better has Antoine gotten, because he drags you into all those features? I mean, some features he has riden 3 times before you've completed it. 😜
Antoine is a quality friend. I never heard him try to talk you into sending something if you expressed reservation, but he's always helpful and patient if you ask his help.
Everybody needs an Antoine...

Most Patient Friend eva eva... All my guys would be like - ride it or walk, but we are leaving lol

Thanks for the video
"When life gives you a nemesis Trail..."
You slowly guilt yourself into riding it!
I hate when comments makes you post the comment twice.
I uhh didn't comment twice, TH-cam has had a bot infestation that makes commenter comment twice.
It's a weird gitch, nobody has figured out who's doing it.
@@Hraezlyrrrr Sorry, that's what I meant. It happens to me too.
Yeah, it's weird. Roblox had a couple of those virus bots like 3 weeks ago, and now these are here.
I can totally relate to not wanting to ride something.... Thanks for still releasing content after your hurt. I hope you get better soon!
Idk why I’m proud of you but that lap you did made me really happy, I know it took a lot to overcome that mental side of biking. Love the channel as always
You are one of the most down to earth people and mountain bike youtubers out there! Stay genuine!
Good job... nothing wrong with doing it safe.

Thank you for converting the yuka measurement to feet! 😂😅
Sweet flow jump zone. Nothing beats a good friend. Anton rocks.
love ur vids, I am also a mountain biker and I like to watch pros send trails then I usually more comfortable doing features.

i had the same feeling yesterday, i conqer a drop to a dirt wallride...and then conected to a jump. congrats! saludos desde chile
Well done Eric! I can completely relate to these 'Nemesis' fears. Once its in your head it takes real courage to conquer. Great channel. Thanks

Hi i watched all of yourd and yukas videos keep up with the good work
Good job Eric. I enjoy seeing your progress each video as you start "cold" and eventually warm up, get in the zone and go for it. 👍🚵
Just cleared everything at spider mountain! So happy!
Good job man 👍
@@the_ultra_robot6884 thanks 😊
If you get to America again, go to a trail system called Bertram Chain of Lakes. There are some fun features if you can find them

Love your videos and your honesty!!! We all go through it, but then again, that's what make it challenging/exciting! Glad to hear your healing up ;)
Nice work getting over all those wicked jumps!
Nice trail. Wish there was more like that here in MN. Guess I gotta keep my own eye out for a spot where I can build something similar.

I would recommend launch bike park in PA it closed so the lifts don’t work but it’s a 20 minute climb to the top it has some big drops too!!

what happened to your trail that you were building
They finished I think
@@the_ultra_robot6884 no, but he's going to resume probably when his wrist heals

Hey Eric! Love the vids and I hope your hand gets better!
I love another video. Hope your doing ok @BCPov
Hope the injury is healing up quick man! Love the content
Check out the Mobius x8 wrist brace. Adds a n awesome amount of lateral stability to a injured wrist. I can recommend it enough.

If you're ever in western Alberta you need to check out Baseline outside of Rocky Mountain House
2:42 "the Ukah measuring method" haha 😂 legendary
Whenever I'm scared to hit a "big" jump I just go faster than heck and so far that's worked pretty well.
Nice job overcoming your anxiety!
You should see Jarrod’s place now it kinda different and has a table top line and did you see the 40 foot step up things massive
Dude was so sketched out on the first run and then did it perfectly on the second
yeah, sometimes its better not to do an obstical. Especialy with a broken wrist. I feel with you !
Great job. Everybody needs an Antoine sometimes... Keep on mate 💪🏻
Love seeing one of my local trails in the first clip :)

(No spoilers)... Was kinda frustrated at first. But felt extremely happy for you by the time the vid ended. 👍
You're far more capable and professional than what you think
If you ever go through Utah there’s a great bike park in Draper city.
Why is there a thumbs down on this video this video is great
I don't feel this ...

Yeah! Awesome Eric!
Awesome video Eric!
I never walk onto a trail and examine it, I usually full on yeet it with full commitment, other than ones I could possibly get hurt really, really bad
stoked for you dude!

Its funny that Eric has emergency videos for us.
It won't be long Eric. Two weeks will fly by and then, back on the bike.
Mate, I’ve subscribed with both of my accounts, both my parents accounts and my brothers account. Your awesome😂😂😂
I found your channel and its awesome!
I love all your videos, I need a newer bike with rear suspension and I also need to learn how to bunny hop. Any suggestions? Thanks.

your hub idle is so loud i like it I want to have that but i Don't have any much money to afford that keep it up sir upload and upload
you should do a video where you put a speed tracker on your bike...
Who else thinks Yuka's voice is so cute?
I also "Do not have that pop yet". Lol.
You should do a ride at Duthie Hill Bike Park it is near where tiger mountain is
Hurt my wrist this season. I was able to jump on the bike a bit earlier than expected by wearing a wrist brace over my glove. Hope this helps.
You will be like granpa with the wrist guards riding down the trail :D
