I'd rather choose this UNI than those common universities we know here in the Philippines. Aside from giving a good quality of education, the ENVIRONMENT! Mygahd! Kahit araw araw pa'ko mag study jan, di ako mapapagod. Chill.

As an international student, I applied in 2016 for AuP medicine studies. Surprisingly the application was pretty fast(1-2months); that should have been the first red flag that I didn't take into consideration. An acceptance letter was sent to me. After replying positively to the acceptance letter, I planned my trip and flew to the Philippines in February 2016, happy to study in a CHRISTIAN but also MULTI-CULTURAL learning environment. It's a Friday at 7 pm, I am at Manila International Airport, but surprisingly there is no school marketer or authority from the University to pick me up and take me through the Immigration counter(second red flag).....following everybody, I go through the Immigration counter by myself and present my documents(passport, acceptance letter. etc). But GUESS WHAT.....I can't get in the country because I'm on a blacklist. WHAT?!? "This might be joke, this can't be. But wait the man in front of me is an immigration officer,he can't be joking about that, they are the most ETHICAL and PROFESSIONAL employees in the judicial department ": I'm telling myself. Asking for the reasons to be on that blacklist, I'm not given enough info. I'm presenting my documents again, showing even the mail correspondence I had with the university, showing to them even my financial bank statement, proving that I can't be an economic burden or a political threat to the country due to the last countries I've been authorized to enter the past 2 years...But nope, I can't go through that security check. Mind u, I have had a long trip and I'm by myself...time to call the university but no response. Meanwhile, a friend of mine in the Philippines is waiting for me outside. After begging to have a call, the immigration officers on duty that night granted me that permission. I explained to him the situation and he got into contact with the school but THEY REFUSED to help me.They even IGNORED my parents calls and mails to assist me. THE VERDICT: I am stranded at the airport and I will be taking the next flight back to my country. I HAD A BREAKDOWN....I couldn't care any less of how I was looking like, I felt HUMILIATED and BETRAYED. In regards to my situation, the Immigration Officers proposed me to stay at a hotel in the airport while my friend would be intervening for my case at the Immigration Office in Manila on Monday so that my name would be lifted from the blacklist....i accepted that proposition from the Immigration office at the airport and discuss about that possibility with my family that surprisingly was okay with that. But before that I'm well informed that I will be paying USD25 per day for a personal security guard and that the hotel won't be free. that week end was so long, I felt awful inside. It's Tuesday in the evening and I received a call from my friend supported by a mail from the immigration office bureau, my request was rejected. Listennnn, I was SO FED UP that I didn't wait for the immigration officers at the airport to come to me......I went by myself(with the man charged of my security that day) and showed them the received mail. I was asking to be deported. I wanted to go back to my country ASAP. Fortunately I had enough money to buy a ticket(USD800) and the charges fo ther security and the hotel for the past days. That same evening i was flying back to my country ANGRY because of the university lack of assistance but also strange work ethics and values: it is SURE that if they did check my passport status during the application process, we would have been avoiding each other the important financial loss and psychological distress caused by that experience. i was TRAUMATIZED afterwards by flights but I had to overcome that experience...i applied for a better school, one month later in the region where not only I got accepted but also I was assisted on every steps. From the application, to the visa procedures to my picking up at the airport and my enrollment....I was quite happy about that experience. However, that trauma is still there....how many holidays trips with my friends & classmates to Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia have I rejected because of the uncertainty caused, a lot. I shouldn't recluse myself this way but neither can I help myself. MY PARENTS AND I HAVE GOT NO RESPONSE OR REFUNDS FROM AUP UNTIL THIS SECOND I AM WRITING THIS. TO ALL INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS AND APPLICANTS" SPONSORS, BEWARE OF THIS SITUATION AND CLARIFY ALL THE DETAILS POSSIBLE DURING THE APPLICATION PROCESS/BEFORE YOUR FLIGHT RESERVATION TO MANILA. REQUEST A VISA CHECK STATUS AND AN AUTHORITY TO PICK U UP AND ASSIST U AT THE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT's IMMIGRATION COUNTERS.

I can't see any response or clarification from AUP. I'm a Filipino and this makes me sad to hear.

alain kov, I feel sorry for you...it appears to me that the administration/management of AUP need to embrace technology, improve it's management (all aspects of management: students affairs & services, accounting and finances, marketing, teaching and instructions) etc. It has to keep abreast with regional and global dynamics and development in education "industry" and services. Last but not least, AUP administrators must make an honest assessment of their work culture and attitude.

Hello. We are an Adventist ministry who make videos on religious history. We are making a video on the origin on Adventist Education. I was wondering if we could use a few shots of your campus. Is there anyone you can put us in touch with? I'm mostly interested in the Aerial drone shots. Thanks :).
