Very few people could appreciate language and literary work. They are all readers. Kids nowadays are more eager everything about gadgets and technology especially boys. So, without personal interest, it is quite difficult to inculcate the eagerness to learn poetry. Most probably, they would only be interested in the fun activities they do. Not really, into language. And the worst part is, those who appreciate literary work are seen as DINOSAURS.

Just a few suggestions:-Rather than saying What pet animal you have-The correct way of saying is: What pet animal do you have?Addressing the kids as Have you people does not sit quite right.Instead, you could use: Have you/Have you all/Have you children would be appropriate.
