2 question please. What sluice box is that, which mat do you have. In there? And 2, I live in the northeast. The gold varies from fine gold, to med size pickers. With an occasional small nugget found. What sluice box and map do u recommend for my location? Just picked this up as a hobby

Hello and thank you for your questions. My sluice box is originally the Royal folding sluice box. I made modifications on my sluice box so that all I have is rubber matting. The first set of matting is your standard find gold recovery V mat. The middle matting is the gold hog matting, honestly the mat has been there for a long time and I don't remember what type is but I can look it up on the gold hog website. As far as what sluice box to get it is all about preference because if you are hiking you want a light weight sluice box and if you are not hiking a standard Keene A-51 or A-52 works very well. The A-52 is bigger and heavier. There are a hand full of different company's that make sluice boxes and for sure there is a price difference. Also sluice boxes come in different sizes and lengths. I do own A Keene A-51 and it works well and it is not heavy to carry around. I Would also recommend talking to a local mining shop or even calling them for their opinion. Also there are different types of matting that catch gold with expanded metal for the nugget trap and Hungarian riffle bars. I hope this helps you out.😀
