It's things like that make me really wish that the rest of the 2000s Puyo games were localized. 8 players that only require one copy with download play like come on
Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 REALLY missed the oppertunity to add an 8 player mode. I mean, the ds could handle it, despite the animations being only one frame, so why not for modern console for PPT2
Technical concerns. Because it has some chaotic gamemodes and they thought 8 players was too much for the console (probably also server if in Online and not Vs. CPUs) to handle in these modes, also even if that was possible displaying 8 boards in 1 screen probably doesn't look good because of the blank space (this could explain why 8 player was unavailable in the Wii versions of 7 and 15th anniversary). If you think I made a mistake (i generated the answer myself there are likely some) or you want to add some more reason let me know by a reply. I know just versus is feasable even in 8 players but they likely didn't do it for the "display" reason
