Hidden in plain sight. Or not hidden ar all. It's well known where those are and those are part of public road network. Everyone driving around ends up driving through some of those when driving between cities in Finland. But nice video anyways.
@k.s.333 These are a part of the road network and are very visible from Google maps. The point is not for them to be a secret but to have enough of them for dispersion.
As a Finn, these places are not hidden. The idea is to have so many straight sections on the highway system that the enemy cannot bomb them all and Finnish Defence Forces is training to rapidly switch the section if needed.
This reminds me of my little sister wanting a horse, my dad trying to buy it but seller deniying sales because not havung proper place to have that horse.
The point is, there's many similar locations in Finland, and Russians won't know which particular one is being used at any given time. As opposed to official airbases.
@@MikkoRantalainenYes, in good weather conditions. Think side winds and such, the plane might veer of the left/right when braking hard... there must be some marginals.
You also need to consider all the dirt and debree flying around, its easier to clean the runway. Some planes are more needier for this than others. And not to start a forest fire with afterburners so asphalt is nice 😅
It is not really a hidden highway, but just a regular highway widened for this specific purpose.
Yeah, it's not like the highway has been removed from all maps.
great pilot view footage !
9:17 That is one hell of an acceleration
We have lots of those in Finland and they are for sure not hidden by any means.
Fod flyes around when wingman takes off.. Allso spiderweb at the console showing when sun shining from the front😂😎
Cool video, thanks🤠👍
Pretty popular spots for people to (illegally) test how fast their cars or motorcycles can go....
And for police to go and sit with speed radar...
@@laineotto1376 That too :)

Hidden in time. Meaning, right now it's not an airbase, but it could be 2 hours from now..
Hidden in Plain Sight.. May Put some Thought, to Enemy..( We Never in sight ).
Interesting how much dirt that plane ingested from the other one taking off. You can SEE the sand start to enter the cockpit pretty much right away.
Super hidden when location is in description and easily found on google maps. Its just a highway.
Seems very accurate on the spot.
It was hidden in WW2, WW3 it is seen on TH-cam..😉 Nice landing.
Luckily traffic control wasn't there with speed camera.
10000 day-fine, thank you sir.
Not very camouflaged as a normal road but if the have a lot of the it's still a effective concept.
It is a normal road, just designed to be able to be used as a runway
The trees 🌲 got smaller over time
Those places are not hidden. We all here know locations, and 100% sure Russians know too.
Like Russia knew 100% that it's ammo depot was impenetrable. 😅

U sound like u make a revalation here
Absolutely. They just don't know when and where.
Tell you what, they got them in Sweden also. Some have hardened shelters in the vicinity.

Well all Finns know this highway. Lets not tell this to russians. 😅
The point is, there's many similar locations in Finland, and Russians won't know which particular one is being used at any given time. As opposed to official airbases.
They may have quite an expensive effort cratering all the places planes can land on in Finland.
That's in case some airports were attacked.
Plenty of roads where to land...
Both the pilots would have been accurate enough to put the plane down on normal highway section without those extensions on sides.
those are meant for bigger planes aswell
@@juhismoto True. My point was that you can land a fighter jet on practically any highway, not just on these special places with extended space.

It's highway 9¾. Not a big secret.
Insects and windscreens: there is no technology to avert that reality.
Miksi suomalaiset keskustelee täällä keskenään englanniksi?
Miksi ei?
IS THIS FOR REAL?
What is weird?
Cheap air field. Land re fuel etc and TaKe off. Next time somewhere else to avoid counter measures from enemy
Hidden highway! 😂😂😂
in no way hidden.
Hidden naah we all know of at least a few of those places ....................
Just a normal rural road. 🤣🤣🤣
Not so hidden 😂, it is just a road here in finland
Não buzinou então fez nada que obrigação
Finland has every right to have territory stolen from it by the Soviets returned.
Hidden highway 😂
Only in road map ❤
Hidden highway? WTF! Grow up!
Joke
The Finnish government is afraid of the Russian army, but at the same time allowed a foreign army to be on its territory
What a mystery that must be for you
😂
The troll factory in action 😅
You should read history books
❤z 🧌🧟?
No one is afraid, everyone is ready. Welcome to finland.
