I like to play a little of everything because you never know what you'll end up really enjoying. The Lightning I'd heard was good but I'm a Battleship guy so wasn't sure I could play it well, I was wrong it fits my hyper aggressive playstyle perfectly

Just unlocked this one myself and I agree with you. Imagine having twist and track skill on it......you'd be unstoppable! Doesn't matter as it's sonar and numerous smokescreens make up for it. Nice game as well.

Lightning was my 2nd ever tier 7 after the Iowa, well on the way to being my most played ship.
That torpedo strike on the Yamato was the ABSOLUTE most disgusting torpedo strike I've ever seen! Now I gotta start grinding the British destroyers to get to this beast! GG Spartan!

I love the lightning. It was my first tier 7 tech line ship. I've almost completed grinding through every nation except the French and it's still my favourite ship.
You should try it out with Vian too. It's torpedoes are already pretty good, and if you buff the guns it's a match for any Fletcher in a gunfight.
Been loving the videos Spartan! Lightning is a heck of a ship... I'm almost done grinding towards Fletcher... I might just stop the American line and head towards this Lightning! Is it still your favorite destroyer in Feb 2021?

Just unlocked the Icarus today. Love it already. Btw rank 11 gives you the final (non legendary) level on your 1st perk. Rank 12 does the same for the 2nd perk. That means your concealment is maxed out.

Well, today, I finally have my 1st tech tree DD, the Lightning. I unlocked the Kagero before, but I have the Yudachi so. Let’s see how good this Lightning is.

One of the best destroyers in the game love my lighting but I am biased as British infact the hole line is good
It surprised me
The British DD don’t have a speed boost but the acceleration is off the chain. Makes changing speeds so much better.

Use stand or fall perk it’s really amazing, the lower health you have the stronger you become and always use sonar ahead of engage because you have 3 minutes with 3 of them that 9 minutes total.
Was thinking about it especially since I will be fighting other destroyers often

Was my first tier 7. I loved the Jervis. It's just a great ship. I'm surprised I don't see more of these ships
Lightning and Jervis are by far my favourites. Most adaptable destroyers in the game. Akatsuki is idiot proof, but these 2 are GREAT!!!

Your slot 2 modification is redundant. You don't need propulsion on British Destroyers. In fact it ruins your turns and makes you slow during turns. And if you accelerate while currently in a turn you will initial D drift turn. Which is fun but will get you murdered

Just bought this little gem couple days ago.... taking advantage of the 3x boost to try and get it upgraded ASAP... fun to see the famed BB guy loving on a DD, lol... Also, for some reason Yamatos have zero torp reduction, and I dont know why...
I love this thing which means it's about to get nerfed! Once WG sees that I'm good in it they'll be like "If Spartan can do that it must be OP"

Good job but I'm glad I haven't seen this kind of matchup. Wargaming is crazy if they think that having the Yamato means a team should start two ships down. Maybe if you have an entire team of seasoned vets sure but this game shows that odds are the team with the handicap is gonna get steam rolled. Can't wait to see you go off in a properly full 9v9 match in this ship.
It's only for the trial. Once the Legends tier gets implemented MM should go back to normal
Spartan Elite43 tbh I think that they should add the tier 9 ships from pc into the game.These tier 9 ships would be able to counter the tier 10 ships.So they add tier 8 and then legendary in legends,But tbh that is because I want to use the Alsace.
I unlocked the Yamato yesterday and It's so easy to citadelle and angling doesn't do much.
Ah, in the pc version, with the yamato there is this weakness in the armor scheme called the cheek. It’s located under the turrets and can be exploited when you angle slightly towards the enemy. To deal with it you just need to go point your nose directly to your opponent. Hope this helps :)
@@dewanarendra7314 I knew that and Yamato can overmatch battleship armor. For example Iowas bow but someone should test if this is the case on console.

Just got Jervis. Can start the grind towards this boi. Good God though I really didnt like grinding through the Icarus, the torp range mixed with such a large DD and high detection was not fun
Yeah having short range torps and bad concealment is rough
Look at the flooding you caused also. 13 torpedoes and 12 floods.
Yeah it's like I've always said torps almost always cause flooding.
excellent video, a while ago I wanted to see your opinion of that destroyer ... I only need 2 million credit to obtain it and I've been wanting it for a while, I like English destroyers, they are a balance between the Germans and the Japanese (in my opinion)
I have all the Tier 6 Tech tree DDs and am on the fence about going got the Lightning or Z-23....I have the Fletcher already!!! GG!!!
I love the lightning so far. The fletcher lack of concealment hurts it, and Kagero torp build the guns take 10 seconds to load so you get out dpm'd in a duel. This is like perfect and with the sniper torps.... mmmm
I've just unlocked the iowa battleship but in every game i lose money in 2 battles i've lost 200k
Then u are seriously playing wrong. Even without premium u should be able to break almost even.

@@christopherbreidy damage alone doesnt win games, there are 2 other types of damage that account in the finale score that u cant see. One is potential damage taken and the other spotting damage so just sitting at 16 km bow on with An Iowa all game isn't good at all. This also doesnt help your team get objectives that are required to win the game. The goal isn't to kill Everyone but to get 1000 points

Yeah tier 7 BBs are like 180k silver to run so you have to do well to earn money in them I believe the mark is usually about 120k damage

I was grinding the kongo and in one match I had to battle against another kongo. Pretty normal for now. In an instant in front of an island appeared a Bretagne, an Orion, a Königsberg and an Émilie Bertin. All of them fired HE and ffs HE spam is more annoying than a sea of torps
I agree HE spam is horrible when it is more than 1 ship
you should do some more British ships

Tanaka a wasted inspiration. Extra torp damage doesn't reduce number of torp strikes needed to kill. I run Bey/Madden.

Same goes for the Range extending skill, go for reload and you'll get more fishes out there, to the point it feels better than my Kagero... And I love that ship!
Personally, for me it's the Kamikaze then the Lightning for being nasty

Iowa but I'm a BB main. Fletcher is a good ship it just lacks concealment

I only say it cuz I used to do like you. Determining his skill level I used to run down the individual levels as well. 😂

That Yamato, ... really it is better for your team is nobody plays it right now. It is so unbalanced, and in a way nobody expects. Sure it has almost 100K health but... a few torpodoes later and she is limping. And yet she takes up 3 slots for a team.
Mmm, I guess I should train more with the Uk destroyers. I am a fan of the Japanese ones, for obvious reasons. But the American line, once you adjust to how to play them, seems fine too. The UK line always felt...odd.
The only real drawback of the lightning is the lack of engine boost

Seems wg has a hate boner for RN. Worst BBs no cruisers. The DD are the only usable ships.
The cruisers are coming and the BBs are very good in a support role and Vanguards heal is insane
@@SpartanElite43 compared to the other bbs vanguard is terrible. It cant citidel for shit. Look at Iowa, if it even looks at you it manages 6 citidel hits. Bisko has the most insane armour and the ijn have top notch accuracy and great AP.
