I've used that combo a lot and when practicing it we'd go in pairs and have the guy holding the pad bend his front knee to use as a platform. Catching that first kick achieves basically the same. It makes it easier to pull it off.
You can't make a best head-kick knockout vid without putting Jonathan Tuhu's tornado kick, either at or near the top. He appeared to kick his opponents soul out of his body and his brain seemed to nearly fall out of his nose...Brutal.
