In 1998 my mum was diagnosed with cancer for the second time, she'd kicked it once but this time, the doctors told her to go and spend some time on her own to prepare. I often think of that time, her being alone and having to make peace with the inevitable. I'll never know what she went through and how much of a toll this period had on her of course... this is just a simple tribute to a woman who died far too young.
