I also love that Taylor encourages us to do it every time. As for the Delicate / reputation title confusion, reputation is actually the album that Delicate is on (Track 5), so you probably just mashed them together in your head. In your defense, “Delicate” is “the reputation song,” in my head, too, because the lyrics “my reputation’s never been worse, so / you must like me for me” are the ones that really stick with me. Of all the songs on Reputation that address her reputation in some way, this one feels like the best representation of the theme of the album as a whole, to me. Thanks for respecting her range, btw. I was so insecure when my voice changed to mezzo, because I had internalized the message from our culture that the soprano voice is the standard and superior (how are we supposed to feel when mezzo-soprano literally translates to half-soprano?), but seeing what a great performer Taylor is and realizing we have the same range helped me get out of my funk and back to loving singing.
