I remember one year at Christmas I was unwrapping presents and I got one gift that said "From: Homey Claus". At the time I still believed in Santa so I actually thought Homey Claus was travelling around with Santa, leaving his own presents under Christmas trees. Turned out it was just my dad's lame sense of humor lol.
My god, that was one of the funniest comedy sketches I've seen, my body and face is aching from laughter! 😂 Compton Carlotta, smashing an ice cream on Tommy Davidson's head "dignity is the opposite a' that!", an "observatory" off David Alan Grier, making him see "stars", and whacking Kelly for caterwauling after the song had finished. 😂🤣They must have had to do a few takes of this, due to all the laughter! And to top it off, Homey delivered an important life lesson too, "That's the same thing your dumbass gets out of a gang, NOTHIN'!" This show is just something else, timeless stuff.
And in 2021, we still repeatin' "Homie don't play that!!"

Fun fact: "Dignity is the opposite of that" has lived rent free in my head for almost 30 years at this point
This one does show Homeys softer side. He offers the kid a toy if he can’t afford one and literally kicks the kids ass for wanting to be in a gang.
