I have to admit, I read this poem due to the Iron Maiden song also. However, I have used your channel for understanding what I read in the Iliad too, keep up the good work. Your content is excellent.
My God! I have been waiting for S. T. Coleridge's Ancient Mariner's literary analysis for many years! Finally the Course Hero released a video and talked about it in depth. Thanks for sharing this!
That was a great analysis of cool words just poem! I remember my senior year in high school writing and analysis paper about what the wedding guest could have learned from the Mariners tale. Although I went in depth with details, there is some details that you highlighted on that I did not see. Good thing though, I still got an a+ on my grade on this paper! This poem truly does have a metaphorical meaning on life. If you have a hidden desire that guides you to positive places, but you kill your dreams, you are the living dead! Something that many of us need to hear!
Help! At .50secs the video suggests Rime is an old spelling of Rhyme. At 1 min it says Rime can also mean 'frost,' an icy substance that can form on sails and ships. Is anyone knowledgeable enough to know which 'Rime' Coleridge was suggesting????
What Romanticism techniques are used in this poem? Romanticism techniques like “Love for Nature, Interest for past, Supernaturalism, personal feelings, Imagination, Melancholy etc. How many Romanticism techniques are used in this poem?
I had to stop after a minute..it was like they got the off screen guy from the Price is Right and then asked him to “dial it up a notch..we want the embodiment of insincerity for this video”.
Matthew 22 contains the parable of the wedding feast so the contextual setting of a young man going to a wedding is not incidental. Matthew 22 presents entering the kingdom of heaven as preparing to attend a wedding celebration so the message of stewardship of the creation is preparatory for an eternal life in the new Jerusalem.
Everything is great except the man's tone. Up and down and up and down to much excitement I thought I was the one who think about like this . Gosh. I miss that serene, comfortable lady voice so much. Let her do all the videos. Please.
I'm not sure teaching a lit class as if you're dubbing a cartoon character is the best idea. I can't focus on the content, his tone of voice is too distracting.
Why do American presenters always have to shout, it`s a childhood affectation that most of us lose around the time of puberty? Will choose a less shouty analysis.
Informative and very helpful for a close reading assignment for school. But please, for the love of God, tone down the enthusiasm in your presentation. You can deliver the same information without the almost cartoonish level of expression. This an analysis of romantic era poetry, not a children's television show.
you guys really are real-life heroes !!!! thank you so much.

Let's be real, who's here because they were curious about Iron Maiden's song?
Thank u
Remove 1789 part in the beginning , people get confused.
never mentioned the spirit that lived under the ice
Maiden brought me here.. Thanks.
Am I the only one here because of echoes

I am from Iraq and you tooling very fast . but think you.
Why shout and get so overexcited? If I didn't understand English, I'd think he's hurling insults at an invisible enemy

It's not a poem. It's a curse.
why you are,very fast! !!!!!
Bad luck to kill a seabird!
you know that cocaine is a dangerous drug, right?
Man, why are you so excited. I am not being able to concentrate because of your voice which basically ruins the purpose of your teaching!🙂
I came here expecting Iron maiden and got high pitched soy boy
lol
Why on earth are you screaming
i mean, thanks for this but why are you yelling at me
This guy just makes me annoyed listening to him
Ok but why are we shouting
why is this man yelling
why is your voice so goofy
sillyism
Your narrative is like nails on a chalkboard 😖
Oh dear... what an intense way of performing very far fetched ideas...😬
A voice so irritating even his shadow cringes.
Great analysis, but what a dumb poem. No wonder I never did well in English Literature classes.
