Let me start by saying YumeNi was such a good sport in that final game. A mono red player that didn't rope or concede, but instead let you showcase the decks full potential. What a legend, mad respect! Sincerely wish the community had more ppl like you. Swayze you are a master of your craft and this was no exception. The Invasion of Alara has always been a really interesting card, but how to actually make it do a thing without the rest of the deck suffering for it is tricky business. The idea to go celesnia and only splash the other colors wasn't one that occurred to me before I moved on. I do have to admit, I'm a pretty big fan of the battle cards in general (Invasion of Eldraine is epic), so this list is definitely calling to me lol. Got to try it out. I'd love to see your take on a double draw deck centered around Zimone and Dina. It's at least something I don't think you've visited in a few sets, and has become one of my favorite builds. I don't even know if you realize how lit this deck is. When it hits, it is so much fun. Sure it has issues with Aggro but so long as there is some ramp and you can stabilize this deck will do some really fun stuff
Invasion of Alara is pretty sick with Chandra, Hope's Beacon. If you've already damaged the battle (I prefer burn spells like Nahiri's Warcrafting or something like Archangel of Wrath) and can use her -X to finish the job (leaving her with at least one loyalty), the resulting spell you cast gets *doubled* and can even be used to destroy lands!
Why do you keep ignoring to flip the Etali? At minute 35 you could just flip him and one shot kill the opponent with poison counters, instead you were bothered about flipping the invasion.
I love this build, so much fun to play. Nice way to play battle cards. kudos to you Swayze keep it up!

This is my type of jank that can always surprise opponents in a FNM. I think this is the better usage of Invasion of Alara.

That's why I go touch of the sprit realm instead, offense and defense, plus can get your stolen creatures back

@@cno733 not long term, but can blink out of play for turn to resolve your etbs. Tho I also run 4 eternal emperor's in mine to help with that as well.
