Tiffany you have done an amazing job explaining how and what you should know when it come to getting a longarm. If you are thinking about it and it's along those lines, this is what you should consider, tfs. In His Grace Lorisa
Yup, like me they know they want one. But realize shortly after setting up its huge. I have always wanted to be in the house. After almost 5 years of having longarm frames and now being indoors with my 12 ft frame... It takes up half the livingroom and some. Its crazy. Never looked this big in the garage 😄 😄
Tiffany, this was quite informative. To say these machines are a behemoth is an understatement. I'm fortunate I have a very large area in a bonus room above the garage (which is my sewing lair) that could easily accommodate. I'm "cogitating" on whether I want to make this investment. Foisting a quilt through a domestic is a pain. Though I did install a DIY quilt suspension system after I competed a larger project and was sore for days. Just distributing the weight evenly made a huge difference....but....I only have 7.5" of throat space.
Really appreciate this video. Excellent food for thought and in-depth aspects of consideration. Thank you for pointing out that getting a longarm and having the space for a longarm are two very different things.
That is a great idea if the space is plenty. For us we have company and didn't want to turn the spare room once emptied into the livingroom. It seems it would have been more compact and in peoples faces. So for me 2 separate areas is the best 😊
Hi Tiffany, thank you so much for this information. I am not planning on getting a long arm, but I found this so very interesting! Thank you for being yourself and not putting on airs! I love watching you! 🌺🌺🌻🌻😊😊❤️
As long as you have the space to get around that's good. If we had more homes with basements around here I would have that. It would be cooler room wise to be underground where I live then above 😄 😄 But now I am in the AC house woohoo 😆
Mrs. Tiffany I am so happy that you finally got to put it inside the house! Now you can do it in the summer and winter whenever you want to. Mr. Scott YOU ROCK FOR HELPING SO MUCH I know I don't know either of you but I love your video's they help me so much and just make me happy. Thank you both! /sisterly hugs Wires you could painters tape them to the ground and up the wall for the power cord at least, not sure about the others that need to be free though. :) Painters tape dollar tree worked great for just my normal domestic sewing machine I got the cord caught in my toes and it almost landed on the floor, so stopped that really quick with the painters tape.
So far the cord that's loose is my power to the machine. The rest just need to be tight to the wall or something. Scott helped and its great. Im glad there will be no stopping me all year long. I appreciate you watching and hanging out on lives and being part of a great community 😊 See ya in the next video 😊
Hi Tiffany! What a timely video; I did it and purchased a longarm. I was going to ask you on the next live I caught how much room you recommend. You just did a great job of answering my questions! I got a 10' foot frame but making it an 8' because I don't plan on doing anything larger than a large full size. I am going to be losing my bedroom for the longarm since it is the only room it will fit in, but that's ok, it's going to be worth it:) Glad to see you are doing well after your surgery:) Thanks for all the great advice and teaching you give us:)
Well I guess I was reading peoples minds 😄 I figured its very important to let people know you need more room than the size of the frame. Many things to consider 😃
Hi Tiffany, I’m not planning on getting a long arm but I would definitely have all the “must knows” if and when I do after watching your very detailed video. You have a long arm in your living room and I have giant scale remote control airplanes. It is what it is, right? I’m glad you were able to Behring it into your house where you can be comfortable using it. 👍🏻
I am just picturing giant remote airplanes in a living room too 😄 😄 And I try to be detailed cause my first frame I didn't expect the amount of space it took up at 10ft. And back then I could have had it inside. But that's when all my kiddos still lived at home. Then the upgrade and having it in the garage for a little over 2 years had me really wanting it inside. But the livingroom is the only space to fully have the space to work ya know.
Because I was only able to quilt 5 or 6 months out of the year. The garage in the summer was 120+ degrees thanks to Havasu having hot summers 😄 Bobbin winder is a random one that came with my machine 😊
Very informative information Thank You 🙏/Gisela
😊 😊
I'm so glad your longarm is now in the house. I know you're happy.

Looks perfectly normal to me!!. . I'd love it!!
It's now the conversation piece hahahaha 😄

What made you move your longarm inside?
What bobbin winder do you have?

Oh ok! Yea sounds like TX
I think if anyone could keep their quilty stuff out of their long arm space it would be you! Me, it’d never happen! I am a fabric slob! Lol
😆 my worry is bolted fabric overflow will end up in the living room uhggg 😄
