It's always amazing to me how creative people are it's endless what you can do with everyday things then you would normally just toss in the trash. There's so many talented people in this world. It's people like this that makes the world a beautiful place.

You know, I make most of my soft cover journals just by sewing fabric directly onto the box, but I will try this! And I love the window! Finally, I LOVE the patchwork closure. I have tons of scraps, so I'll GIT TO WORK!

I really enjoyed this video. I have never made a junk journal before, but they look fun. You would never know this started from a spaghetti box. Very cool. I love the patchwork style. Your instructions on how to sew the signatures in the binding was so clear that if I ever do make one I will refer to this video.

I wanted to make a journal to store my Ruby Wedding cards in and watched this video. I promptly went off to use the technique to make a cover but added some appliques as I wanted some heart shapes on the top and hand embroidered the appliques on. This was the best demonstration I have seen to date on binding pages into a book and I won't look back now. I even posted the video in my community craft facebook group that I run here in the UK and now they all want to have a go so that's a project on the list for our next year. Thank you for sharing.

Helpful and easy on the ears too! So many youtube people nowadays speak with consistent upturned sentence endings that it is irritating, as if every sentence is a question, but in an explanation, with declarative sentences, you make confident, clear statements, easy to hear and understand, kind voice and matter -of-fact, a maturity in communication which carries over to the product. Some try to be too silly, veering off task into mindless chatter for entertainment, but your explanations are intelligent and reasonable, staying on task. Others shake their hands like jazz hands which is dizzying. You are calm. I stayed with your video with interest even though I’ve seen the instructions other places. Yours is well paced. I plan to make for gifts. 🎁 Best wishes for you in your channel and look forward to more of your ideas.🍀🍂👍🍁

Your video is great! I wish I had watched yours first. I would like to make one of these for my daughters, and maybe get them interested in these. I'm to old to do one! lol Thank you for keeping it simple, but not treating everyone like kindergarten folks by repeating everything 40 times :)

Thank you so much for this video. I had all the supplies for months, but i have something that i like to call 'art fear'. I've watched tons of tutorials, but was just afraid to start. Your video made me actually do it!! I wish I could share pictures here. It's absolutely not perfect, but I'm so proud of myself! I made a book! I think this is the first craft that I made that I don't absolutely hate and actually want to show it to my friends 😁

I absolutely LOVE this video!!! Thank you for filming this from start to finish. I love the patchwork look and the patchwork closure is very clever!
