I just don't get why people don't subscribe. It costs nothing, we get free jam sessions with a cool young man. We need to get him to 100K. I mean, it takes sitting on our hands to a whole new level. This fellow works his butt off too. One second to click baby click. 🙏
I have subscribed for so long on some of these channels I have seen their children grow up. Itys like a natural thing to hit that button first thing. Unless its somebody new. I like to be as real as I can too. I have watched JMBOY TV for several years now.
I totally agree. I mentioned it when I first started watching his reactions. I enjoy him more than a lot of other reactors that have three, four times as many subscribers.
James Gang is named for drummer James Fox, who was also the drummer for The Outsiders (Time Won't Let Me). That's him in front on the motorcycle on the left.
Walk Away is another great one from James Gang, the first successful band of the great guitarist Joe Walsh, who followed this up with a great solo career (Rocky Mountain Way, Life's Been Good, etc.) and also was a member of The Eagles (great guitar work on "Hotel California").
Joe Walsh is a crazy dude. I saw him in LA back in the 70's. He wore a yellow Tuxedo with a screaming red tie draped over his shoulder. He is a madman on the slide.
I've got some really cool pictures of Joe Walsh playing in a bar in Chicago. He stopped in unexpected and got on stage with the band that was there and started playing. My sister in law was there that night and she's the one who took the pictures. Really cool!
I'm so glad you did this song. It's a great early '70s rock tune. The singer, Joe Walsh went on to sing with The Eagles, and later he had his own band simply called 'Joe Walsh'. One great singer, three great '70s bands !
Saw Joe live in the mid 70’s at Cobo Arena in Detroit. For the encore he played “Get Back” by the Beatles. Came out for a 2nd encore and started playing it again. The drummer and bass player looked confused and looked at each other. Shrugged it off and started playing along. 😂
Mr. Joe Walsh is the centerpiece of his band. I've been listening to James Gang since the late 70's, and I still don't know the names of the Bassist and Drummer. But I've see Joe live twice, and he is among the best, and also the funniest Guitarist on the planet. His skill and talent on Guitar are matched by his cutting edge wit and out-and-out comic flair. "Walk Away" is the other big radio hit for James Gang. Joe later was in the end scene of the movie "The Blues Brothers", he is the first prisoner to get up and dance. Then he joined the Eagles.
JMBOY, Reward yourself and check out the long history of Joe Walsh . I see you appreciate the witty lyrics and they get better as his career evolved. Great bass line on this song.
I’d like to hear your take on one of Joplin’s sadly neglected sleepers from that era: “Farewell Song” on the album “Live at Winterland ‘68” by Big Brother and the Holding Company featuring Janis Joplin. - -
Joe Walsh joined the Eagles for the Hotel California album and remains an Eagle to this day. He left the James Gang after bringing in the late great Tommy Bolin, and formed the band Barnstorm on a few albums in the middle 70's. Even after becoming a full-fledged member of the Eagles, Joe continued to put out a number of great solo albums like the Confessor and But Seriously Folks. "Life's Been Good to Me" is sort of his signature song. You'll do well to plug into other Joe Walsh works.
I don't know if he's ever been made an official member of The Eagles. He was still a paid player during their Hell Freezes Over come back tour, he did and does get royalties for his contibutions. But you can't make a living off of royalties, all the money is in touring. Walsh was only allowed to participate in the Hells tour if he had a sobriety manager with him at all times and Walsh had to foot the bill for it. This was because Walsh was still deep into his addictions. But Walsh like the rest of The Eagles wanted the riches of tour money. The Eagles would not have moved onto their next era without Walsh on Hotel California and their albums that followed. Don Henley and Walsh are by far the most talented members of The Eagles.
check out the recent-ish version of joe/ringo/leland/waddy doing this tune in ringo's basement. they are all pushing 80 and would b-slap anyone under 30. it's somewhere on YT
You gotta do "Walk Away" next by this group.
The great Joe Walsh on vocals and one the great guitarists of all time. This is epic.
James Gang is led by Joe Walsh, who had a long and productive solo career and was a member of the Eagles from the Hotel California album on.

Totally agreed! How hard is it to show a little bit of love?

Joe's famous life quote was that he only ever got drunk 1 time. It just lasted for 25 years.

I grew up in NE Ohio, and the James Gang were our local heroes. Saw them many times back in the day!

🎊 And “all those sounds” are being produced by 3 guys!!! (Like ‘ZZ’ and the ‘Power Trio from Canada’) Enjoy your journey.
This song is older than most people watching this video right now. so cool A lot of sound from a 3 piece band.
@johnlong9534 I was in H.S. when James Gang Rides Again came out. Everyone had this album, and it was played at every party❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥

Thanks. But what about the Bass player?
They are the original singers of Walk Away.
This is how many of us were introduced to Joe Walsh on their 2nd album, it's been LOVE ever since. Great choice.
Loves me some Joe Walsh and the James Gang!!!!
One of the coolest rockers ever !!!
Walk away is another great track by these guys.
The Bomber and Tend My Garden...
Gotta hear Funk #48 too!
The Bomber, Take A Look Around and Tend My Garden are all different and wonderful sides to this band.
Yes JMBOY, more Joe Walsh
Great song thanks
The American version of "Cream".
Drummer and bass played so well together! Thanks
Walk Away is my all time James Gang song but Joe Walsh who went on to the Eagles remains my favorite guitarist and all time wild man❤
Thank you for your insightful reactions.
Great choice! Love this tune. (man, that bass) If you haven't already, check out Funk #48.
I remember seeing the James Gang in bars for a $5.00 cover charge.
I have always thought of this song as conversational between a parent & teenager
Yeah. Rock at its best.
❤
My Homie Joe Walsh. 👍

Wasn’t familiar with this one but definitely familiar with Joe Walsh. Great tune, great reaction
early Joe Walsh-excellent choice!
Check him out at “Daryl’s House” playing this tune 🔥✌️
We don't need the ladies cryin' 'cause the story's sad...
Joe Walsh is old school. They don't make 'em like him anymore! You definitely need to
check out "Rocky Mountain Way".
