I’m new to climbing, and was in a bit of a tangle about what rope to buy. Now thanks to your video I’m knot 👍

So I just came across your channel and I did subscribe. Your obviously knowledgeable in ropes so maybe you can help me with a different situation. I want a rope for timing down loads that's very good to work with as far as practicing knots and here's the other part.... it would be safe to use for climbing JUST IN AN EMERGENCY. Hope you have an opinion. If at all possible I'd like something on the thinner side.... 8-10mm thanks so much!

Hey Ryan I've watched all of your content and its very informative please continue producing. Im looking to buy a rope for myself and I'm limited to buying ropes through REI with a gift card. The Maxim Alex Honnold Glider 9.9 has 5 UIAA falls rated but is thicker in diameter than this Edelrid DuoTec 9.6, which has a rating of 9 UIAA falls. Which rope is going to be more durable? I would like to keep this rope as long as possible and and use for a wide range of activities. Cheers.
