- We ran the Amazing Thailand Marathon Bangkok 2021 (Half Marathon) on its rearranged date at the start of 2022 (27/2/22). It was all sorts of brutal, but I managed to come away with 5th in AG and a small cheque for around £40 which now makes me a professional athlete I believe....

I lived in Cambodia for 5 years and really loved it! Enjoyed Thailand when I visited as well. Thailand is safer and a bit easier to get around but with all the same charm. So glad for you guys!!

congrats to another strong run.......to be honest, just watching all what was going on before the race and racing in the middle of the night let me feel exhausted. In no way i would be able to go through that....the colors of the ammo shirt are really nice....

Congratulations Ben, about to watch Mary’s in a moment. Nice to see they still did the presentation, but bummer about times being mucked about. Crazy time to start a race, it was bad enough getting up to do the 5:30am start. I’m case you haven’t seen it they posted a great photo of you on their Facebook page of you crossing the finish line and fist bumping a steward.

@@ThisMessyHappy I did the 10k, it was good fun, I had to get up about 4am to get across Bangkok to the start line which meant didn’t really sleep properly due to one excitement and two thinking I’d sleep through the alarm 😂
I came 10th in my age group so I’ll take that little surprise. Next stop Boston in April 😃

Can I ask a question?.. I'm an absolute new beginner. Could never run a mile without walking but can now do 3 and am increasing each week. But my time is soooo slow. Should I just let that increase with time for a while And then incorporate some speed training? I plan to work up to a half this year
Hey Ben and Mary. What is the further you'd you'd before a marathon? I ran 50 miles in February at a backyard and have a marathon on 1st May. Im thinking of doing marathon distance but it's also a bit of a draining thought haha. Its more for confidence issues but then also kind of think I should just run the marathon without running one before to show that I can do it?

Hi guys, I've just booked this race for December. If I stay by the start, is there shuttle buses back after? Or, if I stay at the finish, how do I get to the start? 😅
Hey Tamlyn, we got a grab. I don’t know about shuttle buses. We stayed near the start line from memory but it is a bit of a pain when the start and finish line are about 21km apart!
