Work continues to progress to create Lancashire Cricket’s second home in the heart of the county in Farington. Read the latest update: cricket.lancas...
Be interesting to see the integration of the 'Community Pitch' and local cricket. Especially seeing as so many local clubs are struggling with facilities and support.
There is currently a Preston to Leyland/Wigan bus service, the 111, which passes around every 20 minutes or so in each direction. Usually a single decker with limited capacity. There is a main line station at Leyland, and a station at Lostock Hall on the line from Preston to Blackburn & Colne, both fairly near to the facility. I assume it wouldn't be difficult to organise addition services on match days of course. I live around ten minutes away!
Great to see. Look forward to seeing progress and eventually cricket being played here
Fair play to Lancashire council getting behind this fantastic scheme. 👏🏼
Great progress.

Looking good.
More green belt destruction....speaking as a local resident this is a disgusting blight on the local area! Shame on all involved!!
Amazing for the Lancashire cricketing community, well done to all involved
Another green field gone .....
And turned into two green fields by the sound of it.
Can you provide ticket for t20 blast 😢
Already have a look at the
Very impressive & setting the standards for other counties to follow 🙌
Will this mean less Championship cricket at OT?
No doubt my ticket refund from the roses match which was abandoned is being used to partly fund this...still not received a refund yet.....
Miserable sod.
There's no doubt it'll be a fantastic facility but what are the transport link plans?
