Great video. I have spoken with the President and CEO at great length about my tow bar failure. I’m happy to report they are reaching out to every customer who has a tow bar like mine. That’s the very best solution and for that, I’m a supporter and continued customer of Blue Ox.
Hi there… I recently bought a jeep Wrangler with the blue ox set up already on it. I am ready to try my first tow, but I have a couple of questions. Your video helped quite a bit and how to hook up everything to the jeep. The one thing that I missed is where did you hook up the other end of the cable that goes to the Brake trip system? It’s the smallest cable you hooked up and I believe the last cable you hooked up. My other question is on the jeep wrangler I believe I need to put the four-wheel-drive system in neutral . Where do I put the manual transmission while towing? Also, do I need the key in on accessory mode? Thank you for any help you can give! 😊
I really appreciate these videos. One quick question: Yesterday was the first day of towing and when 2 hrs into my trip the battery on the tow vehicle was dead. (2015 Honda Fit, stick shift). Am I supposed to leave the keys in it while towing. I have it in N wit emergency brake off and key set so the wheels do not lock. I do not think this car needs to have the battery disconnected. Can you advise? Thank you.

You go girl... you've got my vote!!! :)
Do the pins that connect to the tow vehicle need to have the locking rings/pins facing inwards or outwards or does it make any difference.
Very informative

I wish I had the answer for you, but I don't. Check the recreational towing section of the car's manual for the best answers.
@@TheGadgetGuru thank you. I checked manual. Doing it right. Checked again today at 1 hr and battery dead.
Ordered a battery charger.
😊
If you do buy the Ascent how much do you want to sell your used alpha for.
How do you connect to a car that’s never been towed? I have a GMC Acadia.
So those welds are all pretty studly and well done?!
Dang, if one of them were to pop or crack, bye-bye tow rig!
That’s why we want to buy an RV we can tow vehicle back of it
Nice brand new tow bar, guy keeps on scratching the paint on concrete :(
