    I stumbled upon your video on my tv while seeking help with my VL3X. I’m struggling. Your video(s) are EXACTLY what I needed.
    So I picked up my phone and came to my TH-cam history for the sole purpose of saying thank you!!! You are a kind and generous soul!! Bless you for giving your time, experience and obvious countless hours of homework on your part and then sharing it to help educate other musicians.
    Thank you again

    Tim, thank you for putting these videos together and for your contributions in the OnSong group page. They certainly have help me to quickly advance through the multitude of settings in this unit. One thing I noticed in this video was the remapping of the backing track start button to the Double / Comp button. Would you be willing to produce a video showing how to remap these buttons? If I missed it one of the other videos, I apologize. Thanks in advance for any help!

    Nice Job & Great Choice of Songs.I used to play as guitarist mainly with some vocals. I sang in choir as one of three tenors.The guy on left was a choir teacher and the guy on right had been on American Idol. I was the guy that drifted off key a little. Anyway at home recently retired I have Antares Auto Tune and a rackmount TC Voiceworks. Mostly working on original music and purchased the voicelive extreme 3 which sounds alot better. It should arrive in a few days. Is it very difficult to program the songs where harmonies turn on or off? Hope you don'r mind if I ask you questions since it looks and sounds like you are doing a great job.Thank You

    Nice toes.
    Really nice demo too, thanks. After watching the TC Helicon demos I was starting to doubt that this unit was actually useful. Could the VL3X have simulated the vocal effects on Strawberry Fields Forever too or could it only do the harmonies?

    • @timpendergrass8276
      @timpendergrass8276 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have only used it for harmony but I guess you could find a vocal effect to add to it, my goal was to keep the vocal setting global so they are consistent for every song just to keep it easy

    All good stuff Tim. I have had the VL3 extreme for about 3 years now. I'm always searching for ways to learn and do things different in my solo acoustic shows. You are the closest person who does very similar to what I do right down to the style of music. I noticed you playing a Taylor. I have a Taylor 314ce with the expression 3 system. I have tried and tried to get a better sound through the vl3 but always sounds quaky. I ended up removing the expression system and installing a Fishman pro-blend pickup. Sounds so much better and I also run through a Strawberry Blonde Acoustic amp. I would like to simplify. So my question is what are your acoustic settings, do you run through an amp, and do you ever play electric guitar and what the set up for that is as well? Thanks again for sharing.

    Would you be so kind to make a video showing your Voicelive guitar and vocals setup? I can’t seem to get a decent eq for my vocals and I simply don’t understand the compression or all the parameters the machine offers you...

    • @qddk9545
      @qddk9545 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven´t got mine yet, but I am quite sure that you have no dedicated EQ for vocals, unfortunately. There is a way to put something on the Hit button, but that is one preset
      that you cannot change, as far as I know. We can always wish for other things, and I would have loved a PEQ with variable Q. For my basic voice I need PEQ, Cmp, Dly and Rev.

    I don’t get it exactly. Are those harmonies tracks that you recorded yourself, or does the machine automatically take what you’re singing, and depending on how you’ve programmed it, generates a third above or third below or what have you seems like it would be a ton of extra work if you had to sing everything yourself. Also, can you program a song so that you don’t have to push the on and off button on the harmonies?

    • @UncutMusicInterviews-gs7mh
      @UncutMusicInterviews-gs7mh 18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The VL generates the harmonies live based on the guitar chord I am playing, so they are generated each time I play that song, yes if the song has a backing track, I can program on and off for harmony parts once and it will save them

      Im not sure if I understand your question, I plug my acoustic direct to the VLX3 where it reads the chord changes to affect the harmony, are you getting harmony effects on your guitar?

    • @45zapatero
      @45zapatero 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@VLX3-timpendergrass I have experience with similar units. "Problem" was always this : Guitar plugged in through unit and that is fine. However let's say I put a heavy chorus, harmony and delay effect on the vocals and this is fine also for the voice alone. BUT: when I play and sing together the acoustic sound of the guitar is picked up by the mic (meant to be there alone for the vocals) and this way in the final sound coming from the unit the guitar sound (that is picked up by the mic) is also changed by the effects for the vocals and this does not sound good. So how do you avoid that the guitar sound leaks into the mic ?

    • @savannah05911

      @@45zapatero I believe Tim is using a Unidirectional mic as opposed to an Omnidirectional mic. Notice his vocals when he is not directly in front of the mic, it drops off. Thus, the guitar is not as easily picked up in his mic. This cuts out more of the guitar sound coming in through his mic, both directly from his guitar and guitar coming through the p.a.
