As most you were asking the amount of investment required to have dividend income of Rs 1,00,000 every month
Assuming a dividend yield of 2.4 % per annum .You would require a total sum of Rs 5 Cr.
But you also have to take into account the capital appreciation on 5 Cr which is 13.9 % PA .
So the total amount you will accumulate after 5 years will be
Dividend income - 60,00,000
Corpus value -9,58,00,000

Getting 1 lac dividend every month you need 12 lac per year..so these companies are giving 2.5-3% returns means you need 4 cr investment in stocks to get 1 lac per month dividend,which is also taxable 30%...

Vedanta has paid total dividend of 113.50 in the last 15 months. From Sept 2021, till last month, they have paid this. For the share value of Rs.320, just calculate the dividend yield. Vedanta is having the highest dividend yield among all major shares in NSE.
Vedanta owner wanted money to buy shares and expand his own businesses. So he throw highest dividend. Remember max dividend goes to person with highest shareholding.

@@ns10008 it is not charity. Shareholders are owners. When company has no expansion plans and they keep getting profit each year, there cash piles up. So some companies do pay dividends.
Also this indicates company has no expansion plan means no growth. So heavy dividend companies we should avoid. Instead invest in companies which are in expansion mode

Vedanta is well diversified company in market..There no need to unwanted expansion...Owner are constantly paying dividend to shareholders...and there price is also increasing gradually..

What about Vedanta? current Div. Yield is 25.62%, PE is 7.34, Also they will be working in semi conductor with Foxconn.
It is surprising how these guys miss Vedanta Ltd, it is very very good, very strong fundamentals. In December 2022 it gave Rupees 17.5 per share dividend
