I remember my mom would always ask me “Why are you so obsessed with a poorly animated 90s cartoon?” but in my mind it was so much more than that. I remember sitting in front of the TV at age 7 and falling in love with the characters and watching them grow old over the years. I don’t think I’ve ever found another TV show that was able to make me feel the way that digimon adventure made me feel. To be honest I don’t think I ever will. Maybe I am a little bit over obsessed, but this franchise is one that I’ll never forget and one that I’ll definitely make my kids watch. Thank you for brightening my childhood one episode at a time ❤️

For my generation, we watched Digimon as primary school students, the same age as the characters in Digimon
And after 20 years, again, same as them, we, my friends and my classmates all grow up and I even get married recently, also nearly the same age as the characters in Digimon.
I mean there is a big reason why we treat them as if friends. And become so emotionally attached to Digimon, more than any anime
In comparison, Ashe in Pokemon never grows up... there is also a reason why many adults do not watch Pokemon
I watch both, but Digimon is definitely the more grown-up series.
I really don’t understand why the fans of each series keep trying to compare them tho. I love both Pokémon and Digimon for different reasons, and I watch the old Pokémon anime (Gens 1-4.)
@@fatuusdottore This is my exact perspective- I dislike the comparisons made between both series heavily, by this point both are completely different things and shouldn't have to be constantly pitted against one another to be appreciated.
I dunno. I like both. Although I am more of a Pokemon fan despite being in my 30s. Digimon Adventure is fire though, but I can appreciate later Digimon shows as much after 02...

Tbh I like Cyber Sleuth more than any Pokémon game, but I don't care about the rivalry or comparisons between the two, I just enjoy both series for what they are.

I'm only 17 but I had the first two series on VHS (originally my brothers') and Digimon has been with me ever since I was little. Just finished rewatching 02 and I got so emotional at the end
I used to watch Digimon before school. Now I just turned 31 a few days ago. These characters have been with me for a long time. And I'm not letting go of them, not ever. There's a huge amount of nostalgia within them. In these songs. Butter-Fly is legendary, and Brave Heart will ALWAYS send chills down my spine. A lot of years might have passed since I used to run outside with a friend I had way back then. Our ways have since parted and I don't know much of what her life is like now. Even though we might never be in touch again, I wish her all the best and will cherish the memories we had before we grew apart. Some things do change, but Digimon stays. I was 17 when I met a new girl in school. She was one year older. I was shy as hell back in the day, but I'm so glad she started talking to me, because I learned that we are interested in the same things, and share the love for Digimon. We became fast friends, and are still in touch every day. We've butted heads at times, but that happens to everyone. And eventually we've always bounced back. I believe Digimon is one of the things that has kept us together through the toughest of times. I realize that I'm rambling big time and that half of this might make very little sense, but I'm so grateful for all the memories this show has given me. Many good ones. And after seeing Last Evolution I can say that Digimon also broke my heart. Was hit with that nostalgia tsunami within the first minutes, and then cried my eyes out by the end. Thank you. For everything. For all the memories.

I remember that in 99, when I was 7 my father was reading a newspaper, and then he left it at the table, and I got it, and I read a little column about a "cartoon" that started on Japan and that was a huge success and that brazilian companies were interested in bringing it to Brazil. A year later, when I was 8, it started airing in Brazil, and I loved it. I remember that both the opening and the original song of the digivolution always made me have GOOSEBUMPS and they still do this to me 21 years later.I watched until Digimon Frontier (after that I found it boring), and then I watched the Tri series that I also loved. I can't wait to watch the Last Evolution. This is so freaking nostalgic!

When I was 3 or 4 years old my family almost had an accident but my father hit the brakes. But I got scared and stopped talking. I went to talk therapy but nothing worked. Until my father bought me Dragon Ball GT (which I don't remember almost nothing of it) and Digimon Adventure on VHS! I started to re-learn to speak playing Digimon episodes again and again and again. I can truly be thankful for Digimon because it helped so much and changed my life!

Oh god the timing of this movie is too perfect. I watched this as a kid and im about to reach adulthood. Meaning this movie is my goodbye to my childhood and that i have to grow up.

I saw this movie yesterday and OH MY GOD the feels 😭 i'm almost 30 and this hit me hard. Also its amazing how much this song means to all of us (a bunch of people who maybe didnt know the full meaning of the song, bc we were children and in my case i speak spanish).
I can’t believe that we have to say good bye to our Digimon these are the ones we learned to laugh, love, cry and formed a bond with -A.D.

I'm 22 now. So literally I grew up with Digimon. I always loved Digimon and the moment I saw the trailer for this, I was stoked. Digimon is literally sending us off into adulthood; something some other series (ehem Pokemon ehem) can't and won't do. Digimon taught me that as one gets older, one needs to mature BUT that doesn't mean you forget about your child-like wonder. You move on, but you hold on to all those precious memories going forward.

Bring me to tears, I used to watch digimon when I was only a kid. Now im 24 and im still waiting for the movie.
You know this show had so much impact that I will never forget that one time I cried cause my Dad refused to go home on time and I would miss an episode of Digimon.
My dad picked me up from school but stopped at a friend's house to chat. I begged him to take me home cause I would miss the episode but he wanted to stay longer.
I cried on the sidewalk. This friend's house was by a road and they were just chatting outside. So I cried out in the open. I think I was either 7 or 8 that time.
This friend probably felt bad. And made me watch the episode on their TV. I was still partially crying but at least I got to watch 😂
I think that was one of my formative experiences as a child. Hahahaha

I used to watch this in German but even this version is bringing tears to my eyes. With Digimon we learned the importance of friendship and love, of sticking together and to never give up on our dreams. I loved Digimon 20 years ago and I still do it now. This is my anthem and my most precious childhood memory! 😭😭

As of now, I'm only a 15 yr. old freshman, and am on Episode 17 of Adventure, but I'm loving it so far. I've even played through half of Cyber Sleuth and Hacker's Memory and some of Next Order. I'm planning on watching this movie the day I graduate, whether I finished Adventure, 02, and Tri or not.

I remember watching this series as a kid in elementary school (7-8 years old) , I am turning 19 years old this year and will be graduating in the next 2 days . I feel like this song demonstrates how we’re finally saying goodbye to our childhood and evolving into an adult . I'm 22, this song brings back memories from when i was 6 and my big sis 8, we'd watch digimon adventure 01 and 02 all the time and then go outside and play pretend digimon. As a kid you really felt like you were transported into the mystical DigiWorld with the digi-destined and that you were one of them, you actually felt how vast and dangerous their world was. Such an incredible feeling the innocence of children, nostalgia hits but i don't let myself get too caught on the past, life goes on, but this will obviously forever be a part of us
Back then, I kinda hope that Pokemon would be showed in our tv station but then instead of Pokemon, we got this "lame copy of pokemon".
We were like "what the hell is this? Some cheap ass copy?"
But week after week, with each episode, it has grown on us.
With each episode, we love digimon more and more.
Now I could never imagine my childhood without digimon.

Fascinating that this song is called Butterfly, and the main antagonist had butterfly motifs - and she had to learn to grow up and spread her wings.
This make me all tear up. The memories just keep flowing and my tears started to flow as soon as I played. This bring back so much memories and will forever be my favourite. Would never forget how intensed it felt everytime they fight against bad digimon. Thank you for all these undescribable feelings. I would never erased this feeling.

Before I started loving Digimon it was actually really Digimon adventure when I was 10 then around 2013 I started watching Digimon Xwars to season 3 and now I'm here watching this that my childhood me is happy inside thank you for making me a happy child back then
I will miss Digimon and will remember it by listining to the awesome sountrack in my playlist
It's so sad now that Koji Wada is gone.

Wouldn't it be great if we were all part of a "Chosen Children" group and would go to an adventure in the digital world? I mean it would be fun to meet ppl and have your own digimon partner 😭❤️❤️❤️

I used to watch this when I was around 8 ... I'm 28 now and just finished the Last Evolution movie and I just bawled. I haven't watched the Tri series bec I didn't like the animation + story but somehow I tried this last one out and I was so surprised.
I've watched Adventure, Zero Two, Tamers, and the movies (aside from Tri.) but I haven't watched new content since a decade ago?
The nostalgia hits ... especially when Tai blew on that whistle. And the ending scene... it was a perfect end after 20 years.

Digimon is a few first anime that i watch as a kid ..... omg so nostalgic... this song always making be goosebumps, no matter what version is it.

As a child i loved this show, it showed me what i should look for in friends and companions. Now being a mom, i show this show with my son. We now watch all over again, me hoping that my son too finds friends like me. Who formed families with my friends and watch my son grow better that we did.
