I'm just glad you got to experience some California mountain roads. There is four different roads in a 30 mile range that I use all the time.

The best road to play on in California is mosquito ridge outside of auburn CA and hwy 89 from Auburn to placerville CA. You will definitely move to California after seeing it one time. A lot of badass roads just outside of Sacramento. Let me know if you ever want to come out and play, I'll be more than welcome to show you around.
Yes the canyon roads in Cali are amazing, you aren't even on Angeles crest. Enjoy them while you're out here hopefully you bring back a couple of cars with you next time for more touge fun.
Seeing you have this much fun makes want to go to these mountain roads, i actually live close to Asuza. Too bad i dont have a nice car, but maybe I'll see how my Saab 9-3 handles those roads.
