I wouldn't pay a "bar bet" where the solution to the bet was "oh, I forgot, you need a balloon." The point of a bar bet is that you can perform the trick with the materials provided/at hand. sometimes there's a little wiggle room if you need to get a spoon or a lime or something from the bartender, but bartenders aren't birthday clowns. They don't carry balloons.
When will I ever be at a bar where I can freely go take glasses and fill both sides - in a sink filled with water - to make a trick happen? Also, if I ever show up at a bar with a balloon in my pocket to show a trick... beat my ass. Please. Don’t hesitate.
