We had such high hopes for this series.
And that's just a general feeling about that show
apparently dream works was gonna make a 9th season and a movie but because of the ratings on season 8 it went down hill, and also what would they even make a 9th season and movie about?? The last season seemed very ending-ish.
Plance- what would be endgame if this show were competent.
Plance would be endgame if Netflix just gave the writers more seasons! But noooo, they denied the request for more seasons, so now it’s amongst the infamous “stars good-ends bad” shows 🙄
@@kris_creations1338 ~ I think also, that they were scared of klance shippers since there was so many of them. And they thought it’d be safe to do a thing between the princess and most relatable male character, so Lance. I think they had a plan and then diviated from it due to shippers and the shortened seasons like you said.

@@kris_creations1338 Yeah, would of probably been endgame but with the threats and klance......we have this....Luckily they introduced the multiverse, so all fanfic is technically canon. So we can read Plance and say "Yeah, in one universe that happens."

@@gabrielleseabra7563 Not really though. Don't get me wrong, Allurance did have poor delivery but Pidge and Lance hadn't really interacted longer than a few seconds in their scenes. It's pretty nonexistent.

i survived voltron by shipping characters who met once for about 15 seconds and then never again, it's the best. there's no such thing as an interaction being out of character bc the show never showed us what those characters interacting would canonically look like lol.
Bro I really wanted Plance to be endgame. They would have been so perfect together. I also wish they didn't write Lotor off so terribly, I enjoyed seeing him and Allura together too...

Considering the other issues in the story, I don't think it would have. Plus, they rushed Allurance and Shiro's wedding, it would've been also bad ngl. I think Plance needed proper development since in the later seasons, they don't really interact that long or have any deeper dialogue besides humor. The deeper development was usually separate.

The amount of joy I get from Plance interactions is ungodly. I didn’t even have enough willpower to make it through the show, but I’m just so disappointed Plance didn’t happen.

While watching Voltron: LD, I seriously shipped Plance so much. It was the single ship in Voltron:LD that I thought made the most sense realistically. But Netflix had to go and deny DreamWorks more seasons so Season 8 was just a hot mess because they tried to end VLD way before it was supposed to.

aw this means its been a year now since I found yalls channel because I watched voltron over winter break without looking things up so i wouldn't get spoilers but yall were literally the first and pretty much only voltron fandomish content that i consumed after i finished the series. Plance fans were so delusional but we had the most fun
We already know that the final season had a lot of last minute (as last minute as you can in regards to animation) rewrites and changes, so considering all the "hints" and build up (and Pidge visibly being upset) with even the cast dropping hints, it really does feel like the original plan was to have Plance be endgame, but for whatever reason they decided to force Allurance at the last minute and add in a bunch of stuff that made the whole last few episodes feel both over inflated and really empty.
Did not expect this, but I'm happy you gifted this to us.
I literally caught a Voltorb in Pokemon Go when this premiered. That's just too perfect.
