I have 3 adept palettes and I never love their mattes which is why I decided to skip this release. When you put only 5 mattes in an palette not only do the formulas have to be top notch but the color selection has to be as well and I feel like adept lacks at both
@@Plum9085 same… I experience patchiness with adept mattes and they tend to fade within a few hours on me. Considering their price point it’s just unacceptable for me, especially since their shimmers tend to crease on me too! I get it they have really pretty shimmers but tbh I prefer other formulas over theirs where I love both the mattes & shimmers and get longevity. I wish more people would speak critically about it.
I totally agree with you Patty! It’s nothing to do with your looks or skills- I also feel this palette is kinda meh and uninspired. The swatches look more vibrant than how it looks on the eyes. The blush palette seems more for darker complexions not fair/light skin.
Wait though, how do they compare to the PM shimmers? I have several of those palettes and never pull them out could prob do the same thing with those... always we want more
I agree with your assessments. I wouldn't buy the cheek palette. If it was given to me, I'd use it as eyeshadow. I'm not into the mattes! Those shimmer shades are amazing! I think the looks you created are very pretty 💙💜💚
I have nothing from Adept yet am considering getting this JUST for the shimmer shades. I don't care for the mattes at all (other than that light brown one) yet I'm thinking w/all my other palettes to top those mattes with these shimmers and the price is right! TY Patty have a great wknd
Oh gosh!! You're too critical of yourself... I loved the looks you made, not into greens, but that green/gold eye was stunning!!!❤❤❤❤❤ and so was the pinks. I dont like orange blush...might be ok for eyeshadows!!😊
This brand really let me down. I spent $100's on several palettes only for them to screw me over, now I'm out all that money. While I agree theory products are amazing but their customer service is terrible, to say the least. They ignore customer messages and concerns, and they even delete comments on Instagram which was my last bit of hope to either receive the palettes I paid for or to get my money back. Unfortunately too much time went by trying to get this resolved so now I can't even do a reverse on my card to get the money back.
I think this blush palette is better suited for deeper skin tones, but I do have to say, maybe it's because of editing, but I am sorry to say the blush application seemed a bit rushed and even a bit sloppy. Don't mean to offend you by that.
I don’t like the tones of those mattes in that palette. They seem to apply pretty blah, and seem to look muddy quickly. Also, they’re not very vibrant, but they’re also not grungy, so they just don’t work with those shimmers. The tones are way off. That blush palette? Nooo no no no. 😂 The only thing I like about this collection is the shimmers in the eyeshadow palette 😊
It’s definitely not a ‘you thing’. I’m so disappointed with the matte colour selection. Makes you look like you’ve been punched in the face and have a black eye. Thanks so much for your video. You’ve saved me so much money. I think I’m going to avoid adept palettes with any mattes going forward. It’s a shame as I love their creamy shimmers, but the matte formula is ridiculously poor quality for the price. They also leave me with rashes unlike any of the other ridiculous amount of palette brands I own 🫣 Absolutely love your creativity and often watch your videos for inspiration. I’d combine those shimmers with mattes from elsewhere. Thank you 💕💖

I think it’s too many shimmer shades layered on top of one another. But I absolutely love your step by step explanation of eyeshadow application ❤
