    Thank you for being so thorough! I done a classic extension course over 2 years ago and hated it. I just couldn’t grasp it 🙈 After watching a couple of your tutorials I got my lashing head out again and completed a full set. It wasn’t perfect but way better than previous attempts, so again thank you so much

    Do you have any tips for taping when the clients eyes water immediately every time as soon as you put the tape down?

    • @YegiBeauty
      @YegiBeauty 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey! Good question! One tip is to turn off your light while you're taping - super sensitive clients eyes will water more if the light is too bright. Other thing would be to fan the eyes in between taping steps. This may take some extra time so just make sure to allot an extra 10-15 minutes for your sensitive clients to make sure you're taking your time with the taping!

  • @tammie2290

    Hi there, thanks for the super informative video. I’m having issues with clients lower lashes getting pulled out when removing the tape. Is there anyway to avoid this? I also de-tack the tape to make it less sticky as well

    • @YegiBeauty
      @YegiBeauty ปีที่แล้ว

      I would recommend maybe trying a sensitive tape if you haven't already! It is gentler on the skin typically

    how do you sanitize that brush to re-use on different clients for the lash bath?

    • @YegiBeauty
      @YegiBeauty 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You would need to place it in barbicide for at least 15 minutes to disinfect, and the thoroughly wash with soap and water to get any barbicide off of it and dry completely. We do also sell those separately if you want to have multiple ones on hand or use a new one on every client.

    thank u for this infortmative video!! i do have a question though, i've been having issues w retention and i can't figure out what im doing wrong. i started using SoCo Lashes primer/sealer and my retention has improved a bit ever since but it's still not great. my clients have to come back weekly rather than every 2-3 weeks. i always cleanse and dry the natural lashes before application, i have a hygrometer in my room to keep tabs on humidity/temperature, and ive tried numerous (expensive) glues and still have the same problem. is there anything else you can think of that may be causing poor retention?

    • @YegiBeauty
      @YegiBeauty 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey Angel! Looks like you have done your best to address a few things that may be causing the retention issues. A few other things that you may want to take note of: 1) If this has been happening recently only, it may be a seasonal thing - we tend to shed our lashes and eyebrow hairs more frequently in the summer. 2) This may not be the culprit if it's happening to everyone, but it may be due to your clients' aftercare. Just make sure they are following all of your steps to insure longer retention - avoiding saunas, not holding their face to close to a oven and not using products with oil, etc. Of course, this may not be applicable if it's happening to everyone but good to double check. 3) Make sure you're lashing every single natural lash - the more you lash the longer the set will last 4) Make sure you're not storing your glue near your sealer/bonder, primer or removers - we are going to make a video on the science behind that soon, but this can be causing your glue's formula to become weaker. I hope this helps you out or maybe sparks a lightbulb for what the issue may be. Please keep us updated!!

      Hope you figured it out already babe but I used to have the same issues, sounds like it may be your placement. That’s literally the #1 issue if you’re doing everything else right.

    Can you tell me the difference between pinch method and easy fanning ? Thank you

    • @YegiBeauty
      @YegiBeauty 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Easy fanning is a type of volume lash and pinch method is a way to create fans using wither easy fanning and traditional lashes. Easy fanning lashes are bonded at the bottom so they don't fall apart as you create them, while traditional fans are not bonded at the bottom. The pinch method is a way to create the fans by pulling and then using your fingers to adjust the wideness of the fan - you can do this with both the easy fanning and traditional lashes. Let me know if you have any other questions!

    How many lash trays should I purchase as a beginner?

    • @YegiBeauty
      @YegiBeauty 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I would say a good 4-5 mixed trays would be good to have on hand! Maybe a shorter classic tray, and a medium classic tray, both in 0.15. And then a tray of easy fanning lashes in 0.05 thickness, in a couple of medium trays and maybe a shorter one as well. As a beginner, mixed trays in general are good to start with since you won't 100% know what your clients are going to be looking for. As you get more experience, you can start purchasing single trays of your most popular lengths and thicknesses. Hope this helps!

    How can I make application to heavy hooded lids? I tape and still have some trouble getting the tape to keep the lid up.. it’s frustrating and I don’t want to ruin the delicate skin.

    • @YegiBeauty
      @YegiBeauty 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In a previous video, I used the under eye patch to pull the eyelid up - this may be useful if you need to pull the lid but want to avoid affecting the skin.

    Thank you very much for sharing. It seems to me that the eye patch at the base layer can be skipped since the blue and clear layers cover the whole area which the patch does. Am I correct?

    • @YegiBeauty
      @YegiBeauty 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The eye patch is mainly to protect and soothe the under eye skin! It makes it easier to remove the tape at the end :)

    • @YegiBeauty
      @YegiBeauty 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If the tape isn't the issue, then it could be the fumes from the glue if your whole eye is red vs. the bottom where the tape may be touching. I would ask your lash tech if they could use a sensitive glue instead to see if that helps! Also, taking a break from the extensions may be a good idea as well! I love extensions but not worth the discomfort! Your lash tech could do everything perfectly but if your eyes are too sensitive or you have a possible allergy to something in the glue, it may be best to stop for a little while!

    So I’m classic lash certified and was taught to dispose of the lash bath brush because it CANT NOT be sanitized or disinfected.

    • @YegiBeauty
      @YegiBeauty 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It may be the type of lash bath brush - the ones we have are a good quality so it would can be used multiple times as long as it is fully sanitized in barbicide and washed. There are probably ones that are meant to be disposable though so those may be the ones your teacher was referring to!
