Miss T i completely agree with you. Thes coaches are running these athletes into the ground.. She had a twinge from the prelims as you could clearly see her pulling at her hamstring. Knowing that why run her in the relay then to come back for a 100 and 200 meter final on the same day? For the sake of points for the college? Who knows if she will be fit for the Regionals then the NCAA finals? Big bad Jacious Sears may be fortunate as her injury might be just a muscle pull. She certainly looked like she was headed in that 10.7 region as you said. Fully fit Brianna would of been faster than 10.91 too. Have to pray that Lyston gets some much needed rest and recovery before the next big meet.

She needs to go pro and finish up her education on her own. College track is brutal. Especially if you're a sprinter in double events. This injury may end her NCAA and Olympic aspirations. College coaches want points and championships to keep their jobs.

I agree. She needs to find a great coach, turn pro and do things slowly and deliberately. I know she's a straight A student so she may want to stay in school and still turn pro but only time will tell what happens. The college circuit is brutal and not forgiving and I would hate to see them destroy the princess just for the sake of points and glory.

It works for some and not for others. The other Briana went pro and shes been plagued with injuries every season. Tina/Tia stayed home and they arent at their best either. In the end, at least Briana gets free education. Maybe she wants that and a chance to gain US citizenship afterwards. And if that is what is important for her and her circumstances, then let her do that.

      @tyeguy5373 25 วันที่ผ่านมา

@@6ixboss608 First of all you got this all twisted, Tina/Tia choose to go to College in the US because maybe academically they are challenged..
And going pro they knew it would take them at least 2 to 3 years to Matriculate into the pro’s..
It’s the fans who are putting on artificial time stamp on them because they were stars in high schools.
And this thing about taking their talent to the United state is nonsense, it rarely happens like that Marilyn Otty did it at the tail end of her career in the 1970s when it was the norm..
Today Jamaica is the biggest brand in track & field , you will find native born American with Jamaican parents switch in their allegiance to Jamaica, and the reason why you don’t see this a lot, it’s simple because it’s very difficult to make the Jamaica team..
Putting on the black green & gold Jersey is much more appealing to them..
Bri Williams had a lot of pressure put on her at a younger age, when she became a member of the Olympic and World championship team as the 4th member on the relay team, she probably never transition to the pro’s properly..
Jamaica have some of the greatest Coaches that knows how to handle injury prone athletes, so Brianna Lystion will be just fine when she head back to Jamaica to lead the new generation of Jamaican female sprinters, she was born for this like the grate ones before her..

Lyston is injury prone, has always been. The US collegiate system is not the best place for her and others like her. You have to be a full time student and full time athlete all at the same time.
This is difficult to do and injuries are going to be inevitable. Recovery from these injuries are made more difficult sometimes because the proper medical care to assist these student athletes are not always the best in some colleges, more attention paid to bigger sports like football and basketball.
If they are talented enough like she is then turning Professional is the better option.
She can always complete her degree independently.
Remember Coaches recruit athletes to get points and to win championships, so this is not always the best situation for high level talent like Lyston.

T I commented on another video outlining some of the very same things you talk about. I really believe she did well, considering she is carrying an injury and to still ran sub 11 show the depth and quality althetic she is. Really was sad that both althetic was injured and did not get to compete at their best. But, I still want to congratulate them for showing up and still giving the best that they could given the circumstances surround their injury. I personally don't believe that her coach have run Briana in the 200 base on the fact that she was in discomfort after the 100 meters.

I have said it to persons and will always say it: it is way better for young jamaican athletes to stay in Jamaica and train than to go overseas to these US colleges. These US colleges burn out our athletes and its just a recurring decimal. Brianna Lyston is my favorite young track athlete and I really believed that she should have gone to the same camp Shelly is in, Elite. I will never wish bad for her but I fear that things her teammates/former high-school rivals the Clayton twins will be way ahead of her in the near future, and this is something that has been proven over and over. Look at our top class athletes especially when it comes to the sprints..99% of them that do well for JA train locally, Asafa, bolt, Nesta, Frater, Yohan, Warren, Shelly, Shericka, Elaine, etc.

Sears goes down and Briana wins but can't even really enjoy it. Also.. I don't like how we jump to conclusions about coaches based on injuries that we don't really know anything about. Quick to say things like "coach is making them do .. x, y or z.". Coaches running the girls into the ground... etc. Pump the brakes on all that until you have some evidence. I am watching these girls from Arkansas run 200s and 400s and relays, but a sprinter like Briana who only runs a handful of races.. is overworked?? Slow your roll on these assumptions. @@strongb502 The truth is a offence but it’s not a lie , a talent like Brianna who’s injury prone doesn’t belong on a college circuit, if she’s trying to become a dr then that’s a different story but these USA 🇺🇸 college doesn’t care about the athletes, they know athletes will come and go, what they care about is points and winning championships mvp doesn’t abuse their athletes you may hate mvp but show me a coach or club in Jamaica that have produced more Olympic and world champion and star athlete than mvp ?

@@strongb502Athletes like Brianna with talent like hers who is injury prone need to get off the grooling Circuit as so as she can..
With her talent she will become one of the money maker as pro.
Right now she is easily a 10.8 sprinter and I believe she will go 10.7 before the Jamaica trials if she is well..

@Page1travelfitness you seem to miss the point, so I will say it again. Lyston needs a scolarship, which is why she went to LSU. Going to MVP means she would have gone pro, and she's not ready to go pro as yet. She needs a scolarship first.

@@strongb502 she could have gone to school in Jamaica just like Elaine Thompson until she turned pro ! The USA college isn’t for everyone if you’re prone to injuries it will cut your career short!!
