I have taken a video of this city already, but this time I used my GoPro and began closer to the middle of Downtown and captured some streets I thought were important that aren't in the other video.

eerie vibe. the emptiness and fog reminds me of a Stephen King novel small town..northwest cities in Washington and Oregon are so nice though..dense and clean organization.

The pandemic made it quieter, but I lived there in 2018 and 2019, it's a really chill city. I miss it often.
Right? I was looking to move to Seattle for a job until I discovered Tacoma. Now I'm just looking up housing in Tacoma. Quiet, few people loitering about and CLEAN. It's definitely an adult's city.
It's almost magical to me to be virtually stomping in my old stomping grounds.

Lol..it’s like that here..when I first moved here I went out on a Saturday night to Tacoma looking for fun...almost everything was closed in downtown by 9pm. 6th ave has a little better bar seen but it’s still kinda dull.

Nice walk! I had a drive through Tacoma downtown video, it also showed the city is rather empty.
One reason Tacoma is so empty is because back in the 60s and 70s the city council decided that the wave of the future was THE MALL!!! They backed it 100%, not realizing that the major stores would all move there, taking pedestrian customers away from the many independent shops and stores downtown.
I’m just waiting for all the zombies to come out of these abandoned buildings and start chasing the camera person.
oh tacoma tacoma i remember growing up in U.P. and only ever venturing into the ghost town streets of tacoma to do a photo shoot or pass thru on the way to the water front! i dont know why the city just is the way that it is but this def brings back memories!
You must've filmed this pretty early in the morning right? Despite how it can often feel empty here, this seems emptier than normal, and I'd also guess so from the early morning fog before it burns off later in the day. Would love to know!

First off, nice video thank you haha. Random, but did you look at face of the guy in the hoodie walking by at 6:55? I had to watch it twice. Reminds me of men in black...its creepy. I can't tell if he has a mask on or not

Yeah its weird. Guessing its the lack of major grocery stores or malls
only busy area from what i remember is where bars and clubs are. 6th is probably the most happening
