This is exactly the same thing i will do as soon as my Micro B arrives, i've chosen a gt55 micro receiver with tower antenna and a tg racing 10A brushed ESC. I think for the beginning (before brushless update) this will be quite good, the stock brushed motor is quite fast and you can modify throttle input with the noble radio. Keep the updates coming! Thanks for the video!
You might want to try a 050 motor if you’re keeping that one brushed. I think there is some 50t ones as well so you probably get better torque, rpm’s, and temps
@@BillsWorkbench What fpv system will you use? im going to try putting one in mine too cuz im putting a track in my attic but there is a beam in the middle so i want to use fpv to see it the whole time cuz the beam is pretty wide
@@26eckhat11 I have a really cheap camera and an old monitor from when I tried drones. I really don't have any good recommendations on FPV. Someone that is into racing drones would be where I would start.
@@BillsWorkbench To be honest, any information regarding headtracking with the Noble + pro would be helpful. There's not a lot of information regarding how to connect PFV goggles to the transmitter's USB-C port. I've tried a couple of adapters from Amazon and they wouldn't work. Or at least they don't seem to work. The manual has some wire splicing information but is not very helpful overall.
@@threnody452 I don't have the equipment for that. I did make a video on a cheap FPV solution, but it's for the Base Camp. Nothing to do with the NB4+. I will keep this suggestion in mind.
I found a brushless motor and ESC that works, except I need to find a pinion that works. The factory pinion uses a friction fit, but it's not working with the brushless motor. As soon as I get the brushless working I will post a step-by-step video. However I found that the SCX 55T motor brushed motor works quite well. It's a direct fit. Brushed 55T Motor: amzn.to/3XPiTbU
Here are the parts I used:
Receiver: amzn.to/3ZMFsjX
ESC: amzn.to/3NsgCih

I agree. The only thing I am concerned about is the ESC. But only running it will tell the whole story.
@@BillsWorkbench will you update us on the esc if it cooks?
@@TF23DayRespawn I ran it for a bit yesterday in the hot sun and the ESC preformed well. I did not notice hot, so I would think it will do the job.
Quick question. I think you have a new set up with a brushless esc, but what did you do with the on/off switch for the ESC installed in this video?
I removed the switch and shorted the two wires together. It turns on now when I connect the battery.

That is indeed on my list of things to try.
Is it possible to use this to add fpv to the micro b?
I would think so. I have an FPV system I want to try.

Thanks for sharing,
My pleasure
Can this little guy handle brushless motors in 2s or 3s? If do what do you recommend

What to sell the stock esc and radio? I need it for my losi 1/24 SCT lol
I would, but mine is not in working order any longer. :(. Let's just say the magic smoke is no longer in the unit.
