'SPEED' became known with their magnificent music video based on 5.18 Kwangju democratic movements along with the featuring of 'Kang MinKyung of Davichi'. They are releasing their first regular album 'Superior SPEED'.
The title song 'IT'S OVER' has R&B style strong Introduction, and the song is an electronic dance song with its arrangement stands out. Away from the regular repetitive dance songs there is a start and end to the song. The song is good to listen to,having very firm melody line with semi-retro sound.

Everyone down here talking about Naeun, Bo-Young and Ji Chang-Wook....yes, they are very good artists, but I think the message and the story of this mv is better and more important, than the stars. All those citizens of Gwangju dying, just because they demonstrated and fought back against that unfair and abusive system. SPEED did a good job with this mv.
Chun du hwan came prison for that but what makes me upset is that he was freed in 2000 😔😔 An everlasting Murderer...
I came here because of an article about actors that were part of Kpop MV, but... this is the only one that caught my interest because the second I saw May 1980, I remembered hearing about those protests (actually through Reply 1988 but that inspired me to read more about that history). I love any movie/video that is based on a true story, even more so when it's historical. I love that they made an MV about such an important event in South Korea's history. I don't know if there are any other dramas that depict what happened, if not, there should be. I love Wookie & BoYoung, but it was the history that captured my attention.

Story-wise this is definitely one of the most awesome Kpop MVs ever, I love dramas, movies etc. based on true stories! It's a shame it doesn't have more views though, it's definitely worth watching even if you're not a speed fan.

This specific story is not a film unfortunately, only an MV, but it's based on a true story about the Gwangju uprising that happened back in 1980.

@@francescaferrari6007 You're better off just googling what happened in May 1980, that will lead you to more information on how Martial law took over in S. Korea. Books or movies, I prefer true stories over fiction any day. I wish they had a movie that depicted all that happened from the beginning of martial law until the end.

When I first watched this MV, I had no idea who anyone was. Now I recognize Ha Seokjin, Park Boyoung, Ji Changwook, and Son Naeun. It's fascinating how they got everyone together.

최근 저를 비롯한 여러 친구들이 이 뮤비를 댓글로 달면서 홍보해 왔습니다. 현재 미얀마 시민들의 민주화 운동을 지지하기 때문이지요. 그들이 이 뮤비를 보게 된다면 우리 한국 사람들의 뜨거운 열정과 희생정신으로 민주화를 투쟁했던 것처럼 열심히 싸우게 되겠죠. 그래서 한동안 댓글을 달면서 해외 국내 채널 구분없이 알렸었는데, 운좋게 많은 분들께 알고리즘이 제공되나 봅니다. 비록 제가 만든 뮤비는 아니지만 봐주셔서 감사합니다.

They have a monument and the graves of all those who fought for democracy in Gwangju. Young idealistic student protestors risking their lives for a cause they faithfully believed in. Those who died are memorialized every year in the city of Gwangju. They are true patriotic citizens who would do anything to protect their nation and deserves to be recognized forever.

this video makes me cry every time... and it's strange because I'm not Korean and this is not my history, but I think people everywhere can relate to stories of citizens rising up against tyrannical systems. Sadly it's still very relevant for many people today. Thank you to Speed and the whole team who made this video which keeps the spirit of the Gwangju uprising alive for new generations!

This is so saddening. I've never cried so much from watching an MV. To cry for watching a reenaction of the real event already hurts & Pains me so much. To actually go through the pain as many of those people had, I don't think I can last. I'm sorry to hear about this just now. All the innocent lives that were lost due to this event. I can do nothing but mourn over the fact that so many lives were lost over this event. I only hope the best for family members who were greatly affected by this.
SPEED & Davichi did a great job singing this song & the actors & actresses did an awesome job at reenacting this event.

Whoa. This and the "It's My Fault" drama mv were really well made. Just whoa. The director really depicted all the emotions from this tragic event vividly.
I had no idea this was based on a true event until the end of the video, so I read up on the Gwangju Massacre some, and wow that was depressing. War is always a sad thing, but the protesters in this event were innocent citizens who were fighting for democracy to overtake the oppressive dictatorship. Apparently, many of the protesters were basically defenseless, with rocks as their only weapons. A number of the demonstrators were university students, so a lot of young people suffered first-hand. Even onlookers and taxi drivers who were taking the injured to hospitals were beaten and killed.

I just watched the movie "A Taxi Driver" that was recommended in one of my classes. I was looking for more content on the Gwangju Massacre and I stumbled upon this MV. On one note, great surprise to see Ji Chang Wook, Park Bo Young and Ha Seok Jin in this, I love them.
More seriously, I'm not familiar with the group SPEED but they did an amazing job portraying the incident. The awfulness of what happened gets me every time!

I suddenly remember their mv after watching youth of may. The good old days. They have the best video for me
Something like this happened before in our country. Not exactly alike, but something like this. I wasn't born at that time yet, but my relatives used to tell me stories about it. It was called Martial Law. It was once implemented here in the Philippines... According to my relatives, they had curfew. And if anyone broke that curfew, they would end up being killed. And then people who tired to protest ended up dying. It was terrible! It's a good thing that our country got back the freedom it (we) deserve. :)
Kwangju massacre is a little different from martial law though. People were shot on the street for using busses and kids were shot while swimming in the lake for no reasons. And people from Kwangju got mad enough that they took weapons and tried to fight back. It's a really fascinating historical event. People should go read about it.

I’m already an International Studies major, and I’m glad that I was, and continue to be able to gain context regarding these two major events. The Gwangju massacre & the implementation of the Martial Law in the Philippines are completely different events. However what is similar to me, still, is that these two events were led by leaders who were too greedy for power, and we cannot take away the fact that they ended up taking so many innocent lives. Just my two cents!

Why did I find out about this so late?!
