Love how Rex becomes the expert about the lore of Xenoblade 2 because him understanding more about Alpha and A's existence makes sense as he knows the purpose of the Three Trinity Processors from Klaus so rather than Shulk it is Rex who sees that Alpha/Ontos is acting the way he is and why A looks the way she does. Also I can't get over Rex telling Matthew that Na'el needs a drubbing, followed by "If it's not, then better buckle up kid!" Like he's their dad or something. Which is hilarious if you think about it. We're getting close to the end and I just want to say thanks for sharing your journey in the Xenoblade series. I'll miss these uploads and look forward to the final part of this epic journey.

We need an anime of Rex and Shula meeting and then just fighting enemies, forming the colony, talking to each other about their lives because they seem to know everything about each other.
So of course you could have figured out Alvis = ontos a long time ago Because in Xenoblade 1 DE his design was slightly altered Where before he has a key or complete unimportance around his neck Now he has a red aegis core crystal instead It wasn't exactly spoilers I would say Also according to the art book A's pronouns are she/her... Even tho they explicitly choose not to use gendered language for them at all? My guess is canonically somewhere in-between means ontos is gender fluid? Even if it would be really really funny if they were Agender..
The artbook said A is a "woman" but I don't think they specifically say she/her. Japanese doesn't have a direct translation for pronouns. But that just means Alvis is gender fluid and is a woman now lol.
I love that Rex walking on screen and explaining that gender is a spectrum to Shulk has become somewhat of a Xenoblade meme to support gender non conforming characters across media. We are proud of based ally Uncle Rex in this house.

I am glad the representation is in, but I think it’s also worth remembering that the NEUTRAL Ontos split into two, and each of those two embody slightly more masculine and feminine traits respectively.
Seeing your wonderful reaction to this make me wish I had not seen any of the promo material prior to playing 🫣😂 I do think it’s funny how so many people want Shulk and Rex to come out and tell Nicol and Glimmer that they are their parents, but they would not understand what that even means!
