Jon, here's a great idea. For everyone that grew up on comics, like me, New York is the home of superheroes. I always dreamt of seeing the places from the comics if I ever visit NY. (That's why those superhero cosplayers are there). It would be awesome if you did a couple episodes showing the locations from the comics.
The Doom Latveria Embassy. Avengers Mansion. Strange.Sanctum Sanctorum. Peter Parker home (you did this briefly). Fantastic Four Baxter building. Iron Fist. Captain America, Iron Man, Luke Cage.... and many more. Also famous landmarks like Yancy Steet Gang for The Thing, famous battle locations, and so on.
There's so many Marvel landmarks, you can do a few per episode and ask your viewers which others they want to see. Then top it off with the true home of all superheroes, the real Marvel bullpen office in the 70's and 80's. (and their current office today too).

What I love about this video is that it highlights the many ways in which New Yorkers throughout the decades have intentionally made their city special by big and small acts of Intentional creativity.

Some ideas for your next video in this series:
*New York Public Library branch inside a subway station (51st street #6 station)
*Public phone booth (corner West End ave. & West 100 Street)
*You can walk from Rockefeller Center to Times Square via publicly-accessible underground tunnels, as seen in this Actionkid video: th-cam.com/video/2dMNV3RDeeA/w-d-xo.html (although this may not currently be possible due to construction)
    I have more :)

6 1/2 Avenue is tons of fun. I used to use it to walk to work from my apartment on the Upper West Side to Midtown. It’s definitely got the Montreal vibe and also, like Bologna’s portico sidewalks, it makes a great walkway on a rainy day.

The place becomes overrun with tourists (and NYers!) trying to get a photo, turning it into a Times Square carnival-like area, like Dumbo's residential Washington Street.

Hi Jon! I've been to New York for the first time a few weeks ago and omg...8 days is not enough even for Manhattan but still I did so many things and your videos that I watched beforehand were very helpful!:) I've been to many parts of Manhattan, two observation decks, yankees baseball match, central park, coney island, dumbo, whale watching, a rooftop bar and did looots of shopping (🙈), and I was in a huge rush in Macys but still managed to find one of these wooden escalators I think it was on 5th floor, there were some clothes for women if i'm not mistaken😅and the food was amazing, but a little tip: if anybody wants to eat in a restaurant, make sure to have a reservation!! I looked up some recommended places and for some of them I made the reservation 1 month before😅😅but they were absolutely worth it! I just wish I could eat more to try more things😆also the baseball game was one of the most memorable of all, i knew i was gonna like it but it exceeded my expectations! ⚾️
One thing is for sure: i have to go back to New York as soon as possible and spend at least 2-3 weeks there😌

@@mici4130 I wish I would’ve known about the captain America statue! I was there last month with my kids! I would’ve loved to have seen that I’m sure that they would have also

Nice! I wanted to take vids/pics of 6 1/2 ave in 2019 while working at the rock. But it was a mess mostly blocked with constructions. And then with pandemic/job change never came back. Looks Ike good time to visit. Wonder it got shorter…

Addresses with fractions in them can be a real pain which I found out when I moved into my current apartment. For me it's the house number, not the street name. I sat down on my second night in the apartment and logged onto numerous websites to change my address for my bank accounts, drivers license, voter registration, etc. I ran into quite a few websites the don't allow slashes / in addresses. One was my bank so the next day I walked 2 blocks to my bank and asked for help changing my address. The teller looked at me with pity in her eyes because she saw me as a befuddled old man that didn't understand technology. At that point I had been working with computers for almost 40 of my 65 years on this planet, 20 years as a network administrator. She entered my new fractional address and said, "there, it's all done now." I asked her to back out of that screen and then log back in and go to my account again. Once she got there she said, "oh, I see what you mean." I asked her to phone tech support and fix it for me as I had to go home and make quite a few phone calls to get other companies to update my address. Just say no to moving into a fractional address building.

Some good picks there Jon but you must never have worked in midtown if you didn't know about 6 1/2 Ave. I love taking the "shortcuts" to get to 57th St!
